Doan Quoc Dam said that before accepting the advertisement, he was provided with all the legal documents from the brand by the agency (media company). His agreement to participate in filming the advertisement video was entirely based on his trust in these legal documents at that time. At the same time, he explained that the actor could not supervise the production line to ensure that the brand fulfilled its commitment.
Regarding his role, Doan Quoc Dam said he only introduces products according to the script agreed upon with the brand, without calling on or urging people to buy and use the product.
On April 15, the Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health, sent a document to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, and the Department of Grassroots Culture requesting coordination in managing food advertising related to the situation of celebrities advertising false information. The Department requested to inspect and handle advertising violations on social networks, especially those related to celebrities, and report the results for synthesis.
