Masan Consumer was fined and had to pay over 8 billion VND in taxes.

ANTD.VN - According to the inspection conclusion, Masan Consumer continuously declared incorrect taxes from 2020 to 2023, leading to a shortfall of more than VND 5.1 billion in tax payable to the budget.

The General Department of Taxation has just issued a decision on administrative sanctions for tax violations against Masan Consumer Joint Stock Company (Masan Consumer; UPCoM: MCH).

Accordingly, through the tax inspection, the General Department of Taxation concluded that Masan Consumer had committed administrative violations: False declaration leading to a lack of tax payable and false declaration not leading to a lack of tax payable. In addition, the company was also fined for aggravating circumstances due to repeated violations.

Masan Consumer fined for false tax declaration

For the above violations, Masan Consumer was administratively fined more than 1 billion VND. Along with that, this enterprise was forced to pay more than 5.1 billion VND in tax arrears to the State budget. These are the value added tax and corporate income tax amounts that the company declared incorrectly, leading to a shortage in the years from 2020 to 2023. Masan Consumer also had to pay an additional 1.9 billion VND in late tax payment fees.

Thus, the total amount of tax that Masan Consumer has to pay is more than 8.1 billion VND.
