That is the sharing of Ms. Lai Uyen Thu, Principal of Binh Dong High School, Go Cong Town, Tien Giang. Therefore, Ms. Uyen Thu believes that meeting directly with teachers from universities and colleges in the Exam Season Consulting program organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper this morning, March 10, at Truong Dinh High School, will help students access official and reliable information to make the right decisions about choosing a major and choosing a school.
The Exam Season Consulting Program has been held at Truong Dinh High School for many years now.
The program is broadcast live on the website thanhnien.vn and Thanh Nien Newspaper channels on Facebook and YouTube.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS LISTEN TO ADVICE TOGETHER
For many years, every March, Thanh Nien Newspaper's consulting program has been present at Truong Dinh High School to fulfill its "traditional appointment" with teachers, students and parents of Go Cong Town, Tien Giang Province.
This morning, thousands of students and parents of high schools: Truong Dinh, Go Cong, Binh Dong (all of Go Cong town) and Go Cong Dong High School (of Go Cong Dong district) continued to be present to participate in the program.
Master Nguyen Thanh Hai, Principal of Truong Dinh High School, shared: "Over the years, the program has helped students and parents better understand career guidance and enrollment. From this program, many students are no longer confused or hesitant, but have chosen the right and more decisive path for themselves. At the same time, thanks to this, parents also understand that choosing a major is based on their interests, strengths and wishes, not on the imposition of their parents."
Students asked many questions to the program's advisory board.
Ms. Lai Uyen Thu also said that recently, the school's students have been searching for careers online, but in the midst of a jungle of information with many different sources, they are easily confused and have difficulty distinguishing which information is authentic. "The Thanh Nien Newspaper program has teachers from universities and colleges coming to advise, providing students with accurate, authentic, specific and reliable information, so the students have been eagerly waiting for the past few days."
According to Ms. Thu, the school has 6 grade 12 classes with about 250 students, so all of them will be present at the program. Not only that, the school also announced to all parents because many parents also want to come to receive advice so that they can accompany their children in taking exams, choosing majors, and choosing schools.
Ms. Truong Pham Kim Cuc, parent of Ly Gia Han, a 12th/13th grade student at Truong Dinh High School, said that this morning she temporarily stopped selling for a session to come with her child for counseling. "I plan to orient my child to study pharmacy, but he likes business administration. Therefore, I want to hear teachers share about job trends, recruitment needs, qualities to study well in a profession, admission procedures, tuition fees... to discuss with my child before making a final decision," Ms. Cuc shared.

CONNECT FOR STUDENT SUPPORT
Also within the framework of the program, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry will present Truong Dinh High School with a STEM room worth more than 100 million VND. This is a model with equipment and textbooks to help students practice programming, apply general knowledge to solve real-life problems.
"The Thanh Nien Newspaper's Exam Consulting Program is an effective bridge between universities and high school students. Through many years of participating in the program at Truong Dinh High School, we have developed a close bond and affection for the teachers and students here. Currently, the number of students studying at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry is very large and has very good academic results," Dr. Nhan assessed.
According to Dr. Nhan, STEM is a trend and a mandatory requirement in high schools, so Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry decided to donate this classroom with the hope of supporting additional teaching and learning conditions for teachers and students of Truong Dinh High School.
After today's consultation session, the program will continue to students of Marie Curie High School (HCMC) tomorrow morning (March 11).
