On September 7, many social media forums shared information about addresses providing free housing for homeless people in Hanoi. Apartments and hotels opened their doors to homeless people to take shelter from the storm and provide free meals; people silently sharing food and water are heartwarming stories during the storm and flood season, creating a beautiful picture of kindness in everyday life. At this time, the 26-year-old man discovered a victim struggling in the midst of the raging floodwaters. Immediately, he ran down to the boat, swam upstream to rescue. "At that moment, I couldn't think of much. The only thing in my mind was the desire to quickly bring the victim to shore," said Mr. Khanh.

Many good stories emerged from the storm and flood. They were thousands of banh chung from Thanh Hoa and Nghe An sent to the North; they were life jackets, milk cartons, and drinking water that people in the Central region provided to people in the North.
