Grade 10 Math gets the highest standard score in Pedagogical Specialized School

Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted has a benchmark score of 23.75 to 26.5 for grade 10, with Math being the highest.

On the evening of June 14, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted announced the benchmark scores for grade 10. For two consecutive years, the Math class had the highest benchmark score. However, this year's score of 26.5/40 is 1 point lower than last year.

The admission score is the sum of the three exams, including Math and Literature with coefficient 1 and the specialized subject with coefficient 2. Therefore, to be admitted to the specialized Math class, candidates must achieve an average of 6.7 points per subject. To win a scholarship, the minimum average score is 7.9 points.

Following the Math class is the Chemistry class, 0.75 points lower. The benchmark score of 25.75 for the Chemistry class this year is the same as last year. Next is the IT class benchmark score with 25.25, an increase of 2 points compared to last year. The remaining classes have benchmark scores ranging from 23.75 to 24.75, the lowest being Physics.

The specific benchmark scores for 10th grade classes at the University of Education are as follows:

This year, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted recruited 315 students, attracting more than 6,100 candidates. The English specialized class had the most applicants - 2,049, with a competition ratio of 1/29.3, meaning that for every 30 candidates, only one was admitted. Next was the competition ratio for the Literature specialized class at 1/28.5. Other specialized classes had competition ratios ranging from 1/10.2 to 1/19.8, with the lowest being the Biology specialized class.

The High School for the Gifted at the University of Education belongs to the Hanoi National University of Education. The school was founded in 1966, originally a "special math class" for students from the evacuation area, and later became the High School for the Gifted in Mathematics and Information Technology. The school's students have won 60 medals in international Olympiads.
