"The work has the unique style of writer Nguyen Nhat Anh. Having come into contact with some of his works, I realized that besides subtly exploiting the emotions of the age of marriage, "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story" also deeply exploits the choices and maturity in love. This is a very gentle but also very intense story and perhaps the first work in which the writer describes the character in such a close moment in such a sensual way" - director Trinh Dinh Le Minh shared.

The male director said he was excited about the film and did not feel pressured because each director, when receiving a script, has their own choices and ways of handling it based on the original work. He is confident that he will bring new feelings, atmosphere, and a truly special cinematic experience in this adaptation.

The film is expected to be released in 2024.
