A series of residential projects in Da Nang have unfinished infrastructure and are slow to hand over, including 11 projects in Son Tra district.
On the afternoon of December 12, at the 21st session of the 10th term People's Council of Da Nang City, Mr. Phung Phu Phong, Director of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City answered questions from delegates about a series of unfinished and delayed infrastructure projects, including 11 projects in Son Tra district.
Accordingly, Mr. Phong said that these projects were invested by private investors and have been around for a long time. Previously, the implementation of these projects did not ensure the process and order. “From investment policies, construction permits, monitoring mechanisms… there are problems. Currently, the city is fixing this,” Mr. Phong said.
For 11 projects in Son Tra district, the investors have not yet handed over the infrastructure, so they must be responsible for maintenance and repair. The City People's Committee has repeatedly sent documents requesting the investors to commit to implementation, and at the same time assigned the districts to work with the investors to find a solution.
Among the 11 projects in Son Tra District, some investors have contacted the Department of Construction for instructions on handover. For example, Saigon - Da Nang Investment Joint Stock Company requested to hand over the infrastructure of An Vien Residential Area. The Department of Construction has instructed to implement according to the plan of the City People's Committee.
Delegate Tran Thang Loi said that residential areas in Son Tra district that previously called for investment were private, now a number of businesses are facing difficulties, some businesses violate the law, now facing the verdict, they just keep it that way. From this reality, Delegate Loi suggested that the Department of Construction needs to have specific solutions to handle this.
