Specifically, EVN requires power generation corporations and affiliated hydropower units to continue working, and requests localities, departments, and relevant sectors to make plans for water use for production and daily life during the remaining dry season of early 2024 in the direction of saving water resources.
Plan the operation of downstream hydropower plants to supply water efficiently and economically to reserve water resources to respond to natural disasters and droughts; ensure the ability to mobilize to meet the needs of the power system during peak hot months.
At the same time, regularly monitor and update hydrological forecasts and actual water resources of reservoirs, promptly make appropriate adjustments to further improve the efficiency of water exploitation and use.
The National Power System Control Center needs to closely coordinate with hydropower plants, regularly update downstream water demand, flexibly operate hydropower plants to ensure downstream water supply requirements with the goal of maximizing water savings.
In addition, EVN also requested units to closely monitor the forecast situation, actual water sources of hydroelectric reservoirs, and system operations to promptly make appropriate adjustments to ensure safe and stable power supply of the power system.
Power corporations proactively report and provide information to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on the electricity supply situation and solutions to be implemented. Coordinate with local departments, branches and sectors and mass media agencies to promote propaganda work on the electricity supply plan for 2024. It is necessary to inform about difficulties in supplying electricity to the national power system, especially in the Northern region so that people and businesses can share difficulties with the electricity sector, save electricity, and use electricity reasonably and effectively.
