On February 15, at the Center for Preventive Medicine Science and Technology Services, Central Highlands Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak), many parents brought their children to get vaccinated against seasonal flu because of concerns about the spread of flu.
The reception area of this center is always crowded, not only children but also many middle-aged people come to register for vaccination.
At Thien Hanh General Hospital (Buon Ma Thuot City), the situation is similar when the number of adults and children coming to register for flu vaccination has increased dramatically.
Mr. Tran Xuan Truong (residing in Tan Loi ward, Buon Ma Thuot city) shared that he took his two children to get vaccinated because he was worried about the flu situation spreading in many localities across the country.
Similarly, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Hanh (residing in Buon Don district, Dak Lak province) brought her child to get vaccinated with a precautionary mentality, not wanting to be subjective, especially when vaccination sites are increasingly crowded.
"If we wait any longer, the number of people coming to get vaccinated will increase, which could make the vaccination take longer," Ms. Hanh shared.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Bao Khanh (Thien Hanh General Hospital), recently the number of people coming to vaccination sites for flu vaccines has increased 3-4 times compared to normal days.
"Many regions are changing seasons and weather, so it is natural for the body to react," said Dr. Khanh.

Ms. H'Bum KNul - Deputy Director of the Center for Preventive Medicine Science and Technology Services, Central Highlands Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology - said that since the beginning of 2025, the center has injected more than 1,500 doses of flu vaccine to serve the people.
"On average, more than 200 people come to get the flu vaccine every day. If people are worried and rush to get vaccinated, a shortage of medicine may occur," said Ms. H'Bum Knul.
