About 5km from Moc Chau town (Son La), the small Pa Phach village is filled with joy and pride these days. During the 2025 military recruitment, two young Mong men from the village, Vang A Hien (born in 2005) and Vang A Minh (born in 2006), were honored to be selected for military service and will join the army in the first batch of 2025.

With the spirit of being ready to set out to serve the Fatherland, they not only brought the love and trust of their families but also the hope and pride of the whole village.

In the family's small, simple room, before the day of leaving for military service, Vang A Minh meticulously folded each piece of military equipment and carefully arranged it in a backpack as if preparing for the most meaningful journey of his life.

Holding the blue military uniform in his hands, Minh's eyes lit up with pride and excitement: "Since I heard that I was drafted for military service, I have always felt nervous, even having many sleepless nights. I am very happy to be able to wear this sacred outfit."

Mr. Vang A Giang (Minh's father) stood there, his eyes following his son's every move with unconcealed pride. He carefully helped his son adjust each fold of his uniform, his hands trembling slightly as he smoothed the lines of his uniform.

This moment is not only a father's pride, but also a special milestone, where he sees his son grow up, wearing the sacred military uniform, carrying with it faith, responsibility and love for the Fatherland.

Mr. Vang A Giang emotionally recounted, his voice warm but unable to hide his pride mixed with choking:

"My son really likes the image of a soldier. Even when he was not old enough, he asked his parents to let him go for a medical examination. Minh told me that if he passed the exam, he would be ready to join the army without hesitation. His determination made my whole family both proud and moved."

Pausing for a moment, he quickly wiped the corner of his eyes, his voice slowing down: "For me, the fact that my child was accepted is a very good thing, a great honor. I believe that the military environment will help my child train, mature and learn good things."

"In the past, we were poor and miserable, so we had no opportunity to study. Now seeing my child grow up and join the army, I am very happy, although I still can't help but feel a little sad because I will soon be away from him," Giang added.

Since childhood, Minh grew up in the loving arms of his family, accustomed to studying and helping his parents with farming in his free time. Now, he is preparing to embark on a new journey, living far away from his family, training in a disciplined military environment.

Relatives and friends could not hide their emotions when they came to see Minh off. The tight handshakes and sincere words of encouragement seemed to give Minh more strength and help him to be more steadfast on his path of serving the Fatherland.

Mr. Giang, who had gone through years of poverty and failed in his studies, placed all his hopes on his son. He hoped that the military environment would be a place where his son would be trained and become the strong man he always wanted him to be.

Realizing the great love and hope that his family had for him, Vang A Minh asked his older brother to stay behind to take care of the family and help his parents with all the work. Minh wanted everyone at home to feel secure and at ease when he left to fulfill his military duty, continuing on the path of protecting the Fatherland.

In addition to warm words of encouragement from his family, local leaders and officials also visited, encouraged, motivated, and gave Minh strength and positive energy, helping him to confidently embark on a new journey.

Vang A Hien also could not hide his pride and excitement as he prepared to leave for military service. Before the day of departure, the family held an intimate dinner, inviting relatives and friends to announce that their son would join the military. Everyone felt proud and happy to witness this important turning point in Hien's life.

In his green uniform, Vang A Hien appeared optimistic and excited, gently shaking hands with each relative before leaving. His cheerfulness and strength somewhat dispelled his family's worries, making them feel more confident and proud to see their children ready to embark on a new meaningful journey.

For Vang A Hien, his newlywed wife of just over a month is extremely important in his life. When she heard the news that her husband had passed the exam, Hien's wife could not hide her mixed emotions, both proud and sad that she had not enjoyed many days together as a married couple.

Seeing his wife's tears rolling down her cheeks, Hien tried to encourage her, giving her more optimism to help her have confidence. That was also a great source of motivation to help him complete his mission well, soon return to his beloved wife.

The villagers were filled with confidence and pride when two outstanding young men from the village were selected to join the army. They hoped that after their military training, both would return with good knowledge and qualities, continue to serve the Fatherland and contribute to the development of the village.
