On the morning of February 6, a delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and armed forces units in Ho Chi Minh City offered incense and flowers to commemorate Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and heroic martyrs in Cu Chi district.
Joining the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Ho Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Pham Thanh Kien, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Ngo Minh Chau, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Quyet Thang, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Cu Chi District People's Council, and leaders of departments, unions, and districts.
At Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple, before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the spirits of heroic Vietnamese mothers, and heroic martyrs, the delegation sincerely offered fresh wreaths and incense sticks, observed a minute of silence, and respectfully bowed to express their infinite gratitude to the people, cadres, and soldiers who fought and sacrificed heroically for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple, where the names of 45,639 outstanding sons of the country who died for the independence and freedom of the nation through two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism are recorded, including more than 9,300 martyrs from 40 other provinces and cities. This is also the largest martyrs memorial temple in Ho Chi Minh City, built right in the heart of the "iron triangle" on the famous Cu Chi tunnels.
After offering incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple, the delegation visited and offered incense and flowers at the Cu Chi District Martyrs Cemetery, An Nhon Tay Commune and the Ho Chi Minh City Policy Cemetery, Phu Hoa Dong Commune, Cu Chi District.
Here, the delegates observed a minute of silence to respectfully commemorate the great contributions of the people and soldiers who fought steadfastly and heroically sacrificed in the land of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh in the two resistance wars for national liberation; vowing to continue to contribute, join hands and unite to build Ho Chi Minh City to become more civilized, modern and humane.
On the same day, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City also came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic Vietnamese Mother, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Thi Ranh at the Mother's Memorial House in Trai Den Hamlet, Phuoc Hiep Commune, Cu Chi District.
Delegates observed a minute of silence to express their deep gratitude for the sacrifice and dedication of mother Nguyen Thi Ranh to the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
