In Ninh Binh, in response to the International Day of Happiness, many agencies, units, schools, and residential areas have taken practical and meaningful actions to create a truly safe, healthy, and happy living, working, and learning environment... Implementing the theme of the 2023-2024 school year for preschool education, "Building a happy, child-centered preschool", preschools in the province have made many innovations to create a friendly and healthy environment for children to feel joy and excitement every day they go to school.

At Nam Son Kindergarten (Tam Diep city), innovation in educational methods is one of the important contents in building a "Happy Kindergarten". Teacher Vu Thi Tam Thao, Principal of Nam Son Kindergarten said: With 382 children, 17 classes, in the past school years, the school has always focused on improving the quality of education, creating a comprehensive development environment and stimulating children's interest in learning and playing.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has implemented innovative teaching methods, building STEAM education pilot classes in 2 5-year-old classes for replication. Implementing innovation, the school's facilities and teaching equipment have been invested more synchronously, teaching aids and toys are no longer ready-made as before but are available materials in real life for children to easily access and understand. Even the teaching staff has made efforts to learn, research documents, and participate in specialized training to master the knowledge of advanced educational methods and effectively apply them to teaching.

Teacher Duong Thi Loan, teacher of class 5 years old A said: As the person closest to the children, each of us teachers tries to convey knowledge to children in a way that is easy to understand, stimulates their initiative and creativity, and brings joyful and meaningful lessons. In addition, her caring and gentle attitude will also make children feel more comfortable and confident. Therefore, going to school every day for many children at Nam Son Kindergarten is always a happy day because they can play, learn age-appropriate knowledge, and cultivate life skills outside the school area such as: making cakes, picking vegetables, growing flowers, etc. For the teaching staff, working in a happy school environment is also the joy and happiness of each teacher.

Visiting the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh (Bac Thanh street, Tan Thanh ward, Ninh Binh city), the old house is always filled with the laughter of 4 generations living together. To welcome guests, Ms. Tinh's whole family including her mother-in-law, Ms. Tinh and her husband, daughter and grandchild were all present.

Ms. Tinh shared: My family used to be farmers, my mother-in-law is 70 years old and still works hard to plant and harvest, so she is always an example for her children and grandchildren to learn from. After the rice fields were gone, my husband and I switched to working for hire, when my husband was a construction worker, I was an assistant, then we started a small business. After many years of hardship, my husband and I always encouraged each other to try hard for the future of our children.

Currently, for the neighbors in Bac Thanh street, Ms. Tinh's family is always a typical happy family for everyone to look up to and learn from. All 3 of their children are educated and successful: 1 son is working in Hanoi, 1 son is in Japan, the daughter works at the provincial Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital. Since Tet, Ms. Tinh has also become a "second mother" to her 7-month-old grandson when his parents sent him to his grandparents to work in Japan. Despite being busy with housework, Ms. Tinh is always cheerful and optimistic, still taking time to participate in movements and activities of the women's association of the street.

Mr. Dam Xuan Vinh, Ms. Tinh's husband, although a freelancer, is also enthusiastic about the activities of the women's association. On occasions when the association organizes cultural and sports events, he also helps clean up and set up speakers for the women to perform.

Talking about her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan, 87 years old this year, shared: Having been a daughter-in-law for nearly 40 years, there is no distance between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law because they are considered as their own daughters. Witnessing my grandchildren grow up and become successful, I am always happy and satisfied because my grandchildren have been raised with love, care, and thoughtfulness from grandparents and parents...

In recent years, the Women's Union at all levels has promoted the building of a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized family in terms of policies and laws on family, children and the role of family in the development of society in many diverse forms and with practical content. Many activities such as: Taking care of flower and tree streets for women, decorating houses, hanging national flags; cooking contest "Family meal", exchange "Connecting love", "Happiness or not is up to us" ... have contributed to raising awareness and knowledge for members and women about building happy families.

In June 2012, the United Nations declared March 20th of each year as the International Day of Happiness. 193 member countries (including Vietnam) pledged to support this day through efforts to improve the quality of life, build a fair society, and develop sustainably, in order to bring happiness to people.

On December 26, 2013, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2589/QD-TTg approving the Project "Organizing activities on the occasion of the International Day of Happiness on March 20 every year" to raise awareness of all levels, sectors, organizations, individuals, families, and the whole society about the International Day of Happiness.

From there, there will be specific and practical actions to build happy families and happy communities for Vietnamese people; increase participation and coordination between all levels, sectors, and people of all walks of life, and the cooperation and assistance of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals in activities on the occasion of the International Day of Happiness.

To make the International Day of Happiness more meaningful, over the years, all levels, sectors, localities, units and schools in the province have made great efforts in successfully implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring social security, contributing to gradually building a happy society and community.

At the same time, inheriting and promoting the good traditional values of the Vietnamese people "Many things cover the mirror, people in the same country must love each other", many groups and individuals have joined hands to share and help people in difficult circumstances in life, to have more happy individuals, happy families...
