VPUB - Spreading the spirit of learning and training among Dien Bien children at the 12th "Uncle Ho's Good Children" Congress

Dienbien.gov.vn - On the morning of March 29, at the Provincial Conference and Cultural Center, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Pioneer Council of Dien Bien organized the 12th "Uncle Ho's Good Children" Congress in 2025 - an important political event to commend and honor outstanding team members, teenagers and children in the whole province.

Attending the Congress were comrades: Tran Quoc Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mua A Vang - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Vu A Bang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; together with representatives of leaders of departments, branches and 150 delegates of "Uncle Ho's Good Children" representing 147,000 team members and children in the whole province.

In the period of 2020-2025, the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement in Dien Bien province has achieved many comprehensive results. 266 Young Pioneers across the province have effectively implemented major movements such as "Good Study - Good Work", "10-point Flower", "Clean Notebook, Beautiful Handwriting", "Overcoming Difficulties, Good Study", contributing to improving the quality of learning and training among children. The whole province maintains nearly 6,000 learning, hobby and Children's Rights clubs; 100% of Young Pioneers organize reading and doing activities according to the Young Pioneers newspaper, attracting more than 400,000 children to participate.

Many charitable and community-oriented activities have also been strongly promoted. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council have mobilized the construction of 27 “Red Scarf Houses” and “Happy Houses” with a total value of 1.35 billion VND. The “Small Plan” movement continues to be effectively maintained. More than 2,000 cultural and artistic clubs have been established with the participation of nearly 350,000 children; 100% of the Youth Unions have organized communication to raise awareness for nearly 380,000 children about the harmful effects of drugs, alcohol, stimulants and the prevention of social evils.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee praised the outstanding achievements of Dien Bien children; at the same time, affirmed the deep concern of the Party, State and province for the work of caring for, educating and protecting children. He requested the Party committees, authorities and the political system of the province to continue to create the best conditions for children to study, play and develop comprehensively; especially focusing on supporting children in remote, isolated, border areas and those in especially difficult circumstances. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also expressed his hope that Dien Bien children will continue to make efforts to study, practice, and implement Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, be exemplary in all movements, and be worthy of being the next generation to build their homeland increasingly prosperous.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement "Dien Bien Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" for the period 2020-2025. The Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 180 outstanding leaders of the Youth Union and members, teenagers and children in the province.
