First launched on the occasion of the Vietnamese Doctors' Day on February 27, 2024, the "Can Tho City Medical Achievement" award has so far attracted 60 entries and products.
According to the Can Tho City Department of Health, the award aims to promptly honor and reward good, creative and effective models of medical units in caring for and improving people's health.
Participants are all public and non-public health facilities, health training schools in the city with projects and products that meet the program's criteria. Projects and products must comply with legal documents related to copyright and intellectual property.
After the selection period, the expert council selected 18 products for the final round. According to the evaluation, the selected products have high practical application and are widely introduced to the community.
The structure of the "Medical Achievement" award in Can Tho city includes: one first prize, one second prize, one third prize and 15 consolation prizes. The funding for organizing the award comes from the state budget and mobilized from socialized sources. This is an activity towards the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27, 2025), the award ceremony will be held on this occasion.
According to the organizers, the award aims to recognize, praise, honor and promptly reward the efforts of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in public health care; at the same time, replicate good models, new, creative and effective ways of doing things.
