- Lately, audiences rarely see MC Thao Van hosting TV shows. Is the reason because she is busy with work at the University or does she want to give the stage to young people?
Currently, I only host Late Night Stories and Listen to Your Body . Actually, apart from being busy with work, I think that for TV shows and any art program, young MCs are necessary. "Old bamboo shoots grow", "old teachers, young singers" - the old people used to say, I am "gradually retiring" and it is true. At this age, still hosting a program is rare compared to my peers. So I host whatever is suitable, otherwise I don't.
- You are one of the few celebrities who maintain good relationships with your ex-husband, your ex-husband's wife, and your son's grandparents. How do you maintain these relationships?
In fact, to maintain relationships with people who have passed in your life, requires accepting things as they are, knowing how to let go, and trying very hard.
The way to maintain these relationships is the spirit of building from each person and it will be very simple if we always try. Of course, there are times like this and times like that, when it is difficult or not as expected, but with the perspective from the beginning, I can overcome it. As I said: You have to know how to accept, whether you like it or not, everything will pass. Absolutely do not hold on to negative emotions because it will tire you and others.
Instead of bothering and making things difficult for each other, causing both sides to suffer, why don't we let go and accept the fact that we used to belong to each other. Now, even though that is no longer the case, let's respect and treat each other as best we can.
Of course, it is not always easy to do, but once you get over it, you will see that this is not a big deal. Consider this a normal relationship in life, especially when it is someone you have known, loved, and cared for. There is no reason to break it. Therefore, I am always in the spirit of trying and building good things.
With Tit's grandparents, I always visit and share. Now that he is grown up, he visits them on my behalf, and is present on important days and anniversaries of his paternal family. With Ly's father (NSND Cong Ly), he often comes to take care of, show concern for, and encourage him.

No mother wants to be away from her child, everyone wants her child to be within sight. That is a very natural feeling. If in the future, my child goes to study abroad, I think it is also normal. We need to learn to accept the reality of life, everything is passing and changing every day. My child is also grown up, he cannot stay in his mother's arms forever. But being far away does not mean that he cannot love, cannot care. Each person will know how to care and love his child appropriately.
There are children who do not want to be away from their parents, but there are also young people who can only develop their strengths by living independently.
So instead of trying to keep your child by your side, let them fly to new lands. Remember when we were young, did we ever trade our current jobs, lives and many other things to live with our parents? Probably not, right?
- What about your son makes you feel secure and insecure?
Because he is an only child, Tit is spoiled and not very diligent. This makes me a bit worried. However, even if he is lazy, I have never had to worry about his eating and resting because Tit does all his own personal things. So when he moves out, he will have to deal with the happiness and suffering himself.
What reassures me is that although Tit may seem indifferent, he is very thoughtful and even much more mature than his age. He is conscious, observant, knows how to treat others, clearly distinguishes between good and bad, has a kind heart and cares for everyone. Later, if he lives alone, he will know how to be independent and live appropriately.
- You are one of the MCs who is quite open-minded when it comes to sharing pictures of your child and messages between you two on social media. Has Tit ever expressed any concerns about this?
When Tit was little, he once seemed unhappy when I posted his picture online. From then on, I learned my lesson. From then on, I only shared pictures of Tit on social media with his consent.

I have received many messages from audiences of different ages sharing about their situations, asking for advice on relationships with family or ex-husbands...
I listen to their stories, put myself in their shoes to empathize and find the answer. In fact, it is difficult to apply my story to others, because each person has a different situation, fate, personality, and perspective.
I only give advice from an objective perspective, appropriate to that situation as well as the general situation. The right to choose or decide is up to the individual, I do not decide for anyone.
Being a single mother is not a terrible thing, no one wants this but if you fall into that situation, accept it and calmly overcome it.

- You have a close relationship with artists Tra My and Thanh Thanh Hien, both of whom are single. Do lonely women seek each other out to multiply their joy and halve their sadness... What do you say about your two close friends?
I am close friends with Tra My and Thanh Thanh Hien not because I am lonely but because we find in each other a harmony of soul and emotion.
The two sisters always take care of and love themselves and their families. If you see how My takes care of her family and her son or see Thanh Thanh Hien teach and share about her two daughters, you will understand why I love them so much.
Because besides being artists, they are truly kind, decent, and decent women that I can share with. We find common ground and the same views on life and raising children.
