Bad background of knife-wielding man threatening little girl on roof in Bac Ninh

After 4 hours of "brain-crunching", Bac Ninh Provincial Police successfully rescued a girl who was threatened and controlled by Pham Van Tuan. Before causing the incident in Bac Ninh, Tuan had 3 previous convictions.

At 4:00 a.m. on March 27, the police of Phuong Mao ward, Que Vo district received a report from Mr. Tran Thanh Hai (residing in Mao Doc village, Phuong Mao ward) that at 2:00 a.m. the same day, a young man about 40 years old riding a Dream motorbike, license plate 99E1... came to his family's sandwich shop (on National Highway 18, in Mao Doc village).

When entering the house, the subject carried 2 knives, went up to the 2nd floor, causing everyone to panic and run away. Mr. Hai's daughter, Tran Thi Thao T. (born 2016), was controlled and threatened by the subject. Upon receiving the report, Bac Ninh Provincial Police sent forces to the scene to rescue the victim. At around 8:30 a.m., T. was safely rescued.

The suspect was identified as Pham Van Tuan, born in 1983, residing in Huu Bang, Kien Thuy, Hai Phong. Tuan has 3 criminal records, including 2 for illegal detention and 1 for illegal possession of drugs. On the night of March 26, Tuan brought a knife to commit the crime in Hai Duong.

Specifically, at 11:30 p.m. on March 26, Co Thanh Ward Police (Chi Linh City, Hai Duong) while on patrol discovered a subject wearing black pants, a black t-shirt, holding 2 knives (subject Tuan), so they chased him but were unsuccessful.

At the same time, Tran Manh Cuong (born in 2003, in Dong Tam, Co Thanh) was on his way to work when he reached Pha Lai ward when Tuan knocked his bike over. Tuan then put a knife to his neck and forced Cuong to take him away. Cuong followed the subject's request and headed towards Bac Ninh.

When arriving at Viet Hung ward (Que Vo district, Bac Ninh), Mr. Cuong discovered the patrol car of the ward police, so he drove towards the working group and shouted. Seeing that, the subject ran into the late-night restaurant of Ms. Nguyen Thi Canh (born in 1977, residing in Viet Hung, Que Vo). When entering the restaurant, the subject continued to threaten with a knife and took the motorbike with license plate 99E1... of Mr. Nguyen Van Bien who was having a late-night meal there.

After taking the car, the subject ran away, the ward police organized a chase but the subject escaped. After that, Tuan went to Mr. Hai's house in Phuong Mao ward and caused the above incident.
