Tennis player Nick Kyrgios believes Novak Djokovic will extend his record, winning 30 Grand Slams in his career.
“Nobody,” Kyrgios said on June 17 when asked who would beat Djokovic at Wimbledon next month. “If not me, then nobody.”
Djokovic has won Wimbledon for the past four years and remains the favourite to win the grass-court Grand Slam next month. Last year, Kyrgios lost to Nole in four sets in the final. After that match, Kyrgios acknowledged the Serbian's talent and their relationship became closer.

"I hope he wins 30 Grand Slams, that would make me look better because I lost to him at Wimbledon," Kyrgios joked. "I know how hard he works and how much Grand Slams mean to him. He would have had 25 or 26 Grand Slams if he hadn't missed a few majors."
Kyrgios did not have a good relationship with Djokovic due to his brash and trouble-making personality. A few years ago, the "Australian wild horse" publicly spoke ill of Djokovic many times in the media. However, when Djokovic got into visa trouble and was expelled from the Australian Open in early 2022, Kyrgios was among the few players who defended his senior. Kyrgios revealed that the two players talked more on social media and developed a "brotherly relationship".
"People think Djokovic will slow down, but I think that will only motivate him to win more Grand Slams," Kyrgios added. "I hope he can win 28 or 30 Grand Slams."
Kyrgios has one of the best serves on the ATP and a style of play that is well suited to grass. After overcoming a period of mental health crisis, the Australian has improved his form and achieved some impressive results. He and compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis won the Australian Open men's doubles, then became runner-up at Wimbledon last year.
Kyrgios missed the first half of the season with a knee injury. Last month, Kyrgios withdrew from Roland Garros 2023, having injured his left foot while stopping a thief from stealing his Tesla. Kyrgios's agent revealed the injury came after he cut himself during a "high adrenaline rush" at the time.
In his first match of 2023, Kyrgios lost to Wu Yibing 5-7, 3-6 at the Stuttgart Open grass court tournament last week.
