(NLDO) - General Secretary To Lam proposed to promote the role and responsibility of Inspection Committees at all levels in controlling power in personnel work.


On the afternoon of December 19, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Secretariat held a national conference connecting online to 63 points nationwide to summarize the Party's inspection and discipline supervision work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Also attending were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) Tran Cam Tu; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Propaganda Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security.

Disciplinary action against 262 party organizations and 2,716 party members

Presenting a report at the conference, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Van Ron said that in 2024, at Party committees at all levels, through inspections, it was concluded that 53,346 Party organizations and 301,970 Party members performed well the inspection contents; 1,709 Party organizations and 6,058 Party members had shortcomings and violations; 35 Party organizations and 189 Party members had to be disciplined; 7 Party organizations and 136 Party members were disciplined.

Through inspection, it was concluded that 233 party organizations had violations, 98 party organizations had to be disciplined, 71 party organizations had been disciplined; 1,934 party members had violations, 1,326 party members had to be disciplined, 1,210 party members had been disciplined.

For the Inspection Committees at all levels, through inspection, it was concluded that 2,228 party organizations and 6,685 party members had violations; 262 party organizations and 2,716 party members had to be disciplined; 191 party organizations and 2,345 party members had been disciplined. Through supervision, it was concluded that 1,239 party organizations and 2,905 party members had violations and shortcomings; 7 party organizations and 62 party members were transferred for inspection when there were signs of violations. Through supervision, the Inspection Committees at all levels concluded that 1,493 party organizations and 1,755 party members had violations and shortcomings; 32 party organizations and 103 party members were transferred for inspection when there were signs of violations.

Regarding the task of handling denunciations against party organizations and party members, the Inspection Committees at all levels have disciplined 299 party organizations and 6,535 party members, including 2,104 committee members.

Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that in 2024, the entire inspection sector completed a large amount of outstanding work. The Central Inspection Commission advised the Politburo and the Secretariat to issue many important regulations to ensure quality. Along with that, there was flexible coordination with relevant agencies, contributing to continuing to affirm that the consideration of disciplining Party organizations and Party members who violated the law was reasonable and reasonable, ensuring the Party's prestige.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that in the coming time, the entire inspection sector will continue to strictly implement the regulations, rules, and instructions of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Inspection Commission on inspection, supervision, and Party discipline work; promptly review, amend, supplement, and perfect regulations, rules, instructions, and procedures on inspection, supervision, and Party discipline work to ensure consistency and strictness.

The General Secretary suggested that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to synchronously implement solutions to prevent violations and negativity, strictly handle violations of the principle that if there are violations, there must be conclusions, no forbidden areas, no exceptions, and strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

The General Secretary noted that Party committees, Party organizations, and Inspection Commissions at all levels urgently arrange and streamline the apparatus of Party and State agencies in general, including the Inspection Commission, in accordance with the plan of the Central Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution 18 to ensure synchronization, unity, streamlining, strength, efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency.

At the same time, advise on the development and promulgation of the Coordination Regulations between the Central Inspection Commission and a number of Party organizations after completing the streamlining of the apparatus project, strengthening the guiding and supervising role of the Central Inspection Commission with the Inspection Commissions at all levels, clearly defining the scope of supervision and professional inspection work to avoid overlap or omission. Promote the role and responsibility of the Inspection Commissions at all levels in controlling power in personnel work, in detecting and preventing violations, and bringing the anti-waste content into the inspection and supervision work in the coming time.

Resolve complaints and denunciations directly related to congress personnel.

General Secretary To Lam also requested the Central Inspection Commission to develop and implement a program of inspection and supervision work next year to ensure comprehensive and effective implementation of tasks according to regulations and Party statutes, focusing on inspecting and supervising the implementation of Directive 35 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, especially focusing on personnel appraisal, thoroughly resolving in accordance with regulations, petitions and complaints against Party organizations and Party members directly related to Congress personnel.
