In addition, the Organizing Committee also revealed information about the first contestants of the contest. Among them, there are many familiar faces from previous beauty contests such as: Le Hoang Phuong, Nguyen Vinh Ha Phuong, Nguyen Uyen Nhi, Pham Thi Anh Vuong...

In particular, contestant Le Hoang Phuong also won the top 5 Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, top 10 Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and the Miss Sea award.

Returning to the beauty pageant, Le Hoang Phuong said: "I am Le Hoang Phuong - a son of the coastal homeland of Khanh Hoa. I carry within me the tenacious will of an architect, the love of art of a model, the surging enthusiasm of a young girl and the sincere heart of a son of the sea."

Regarding the organization, Ms. Pham Kim Dung - representative of the Organizing Committee affirmed that the name calling in this year's season will be "more serious and professional" after many controversies in the previous season.

"The Organizing Committee plans to encourage contestants to say a folk song, proverb or song depending on their talent to express the culture of the region where they live. However, not all contestants can have such a long name-calling performance. We are calculating and will come up with a final solution," Ms. Pham Kim Dung shared.

The President of Miss Grand Vietnam said that the name-calling in last year's final round attracted attention, but "sometimes too much joy turns into sadness." In the final round of the contest, the name-calling will follow the format of Miss Grand International, including the contestants' names and hometowns.

In 2022, the shouting of the contestants' names and hometowns in the final round of the Miss Grand Vietnam contest caused a lot of controversy in public opinion when some contestants were said to have performed "too much", "like shouting into the ear"...

Immediately afterwards, the contest's Organizing Committee spoke up to say that they had acknowledged the comments from the audience and the press and had discussed and exchanged ideas to overcome the problems in the name calling part of the final night.

Besides the contestants, the jury of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 attracted much attention, including: Miss Ha Kieu Anh (head of the jury), People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, director Hoang Nhat Nam, Miss Thuy Tien, singer Lona, supermodel Minh Tu, actress Diem My 9X, designer Do Long.

Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 will take place in July and August 2023. The new beauty queen will receive the crown from the reigning beauty queen Doan Thien An and become Vietnam's representative to participate in the international Miss Grand International 2023 contest right at home.
