On the afternoon of September 30, a leader of the Ha Dong District Police (Hanoi) said that they had initiated criminal proceedings for murder and disturbing public order, and temporarily detained 15 subjects, including:
Nguyen VH, Pham QH, Tran AN, Nguyen D. D., Dao AT for the act of Murder.
Nguyen HV, Le TMQ, Nguyen VQ, Nguyen D. X., Nguyen CC, Nguyen CH D., Nguyen VQ, Nguyen VM, Nguyen VV, Tao D.T. for disturbing public order. The remaining subjects who disturbed public order were all under 16 years old, so the police temporarily handed them over to their families and local authorities for management and education pending handling.
On the night of September 21 and early morning of September 22, the police received reports from people in Mo Lao ward, Ha Dong about a group of teenagers traveling on motorbikes without license plates, carrying weapons such as knives, iron pipes, beer bottles... speeding, weaving, shouting, and honking, causing disorder.
What is worrying is that although they do not know each other, these people still recklessly throw glass bottles at passersby, causing injuries.
Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene, coordinated with relevant agencies to focus on verification, determined to quickly clarify and arrest the entire group of suspects.
On September 24, the police arrested the related subjects. Initially, the police determined that on September 21, Dao AT sent messages on social media “cursing” with a stranger named “Na Tra” on Facebook and made an appointment to meet that evening to fight in Hoang Mai district.
After making an appointment with “Na Tra”, T. sent a message to the “Tre 7.0” group on social media, inviting the members of the group to meet at an empty lot in Thanh Ha urban area, Cu Khe commune, Thanh Oai, to go together to find and beat up the “Na Tra” group.
At exactly “G time”, the group departed from Chuc Son town, Chuong My district, prepared 2 crates of beer bottles and gathered at Thanh Ha urban area, Thanh Oai district, then traveled on 10 motorbikes.
This group carried weapons, went through many streets and had behaviors that disturbed public order such as: speeding, weaving, swerving, shouting, honking, raising weapons to the sky to show off...
Because they could not find the "Na Tra" group, when they met passersby and saw anyone they suspected of being in the "Na Tra" group, they immediately threw beer bottles at that person and ran away.
At around 0:15 a.m. on September 22, while traveling to Nguyen Van Loc Street, Mo Lao Ward, Ha Dong District, this group of people threw a beer bottle that hit Mr. C. (born in 1995, in Ha Dong, Hanoi) who was driving a motorbike in the opposite direction in the face, causing him to be injured and had to be taken to the emergency room.
At around 2:00 a.m. the same day, when arriving at the Nga Tu So area, Thanh Xuan district, Dao AT's group met Chuong My's group, consisting of 10 people, riding 4 motorbikes, carrying knives and glass bottles.
Nguyen VH (Dao AT group) pulled out a gun (hunting gun) and fired a shot into the air to demonstrate his power. Then, two groups of motorbike drivers chased each other from Nga Tu So towards Chuong My district.
During the chase, Nguyen VH used a gun to shoot many times at the group of people from Chuong My who were driving a motorbike to escape.
When they reached Quang Trung Street in La Khe Ward, Ha Dong District, one of the Chuong My group was shot in the left elbow. The two sides continued to chase each other to Yen Nghia bus station, where Nguyen VH saw Mr. T. (born in 2006, in Chuong My, Hanoi) driving a motorbike alone to go out for a late-night snack.
Thinking that Mr. T. was from the same group as the group in Chuong My, Nguyen VH took a gun and fired a shot that hit T. in the left side of his back. After that, the two groups continued to chase each other to Chuc Son town, Chuong My district, where they stopped.
