The Investigation Police Agency has prosecuted the former Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dak R'lap district (Dak Nong province) to investigate the act of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences".
On January 7, the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department announced that it had decided to prosecute the case and prosecute Mr. Bui Van Quynh (51 years old, residing in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) and Mr. Dang Ba Hiep (56 years old, former Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dak R'lap District) to investigate the act of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences".
According to the investigation results, Bui Van Quynh and Dang Ba Hiep took advantage of their positions and powers to illegally intervene in bidding activities, violated the principles of ensuring fairness and transparency in the bidding process, as well as committed fraud in the procurement of educational equipment.
These acts caused damage to the state budget of 809 million VND.
Currently, the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department continues to consolidate the case file, while expanding the investigation and handling related subjects according to the provisions of law.
