Steering Committee for anti-corruption and waste held its 10th meeting

This morning, April 18, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity held its 10th meeting. Comrade Nguyen Duy Lam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

Attending were comrade Tran The Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Deputy Heads and members of the Steering Committee.

Overview of the 10th meeting of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Ha Tinh province.

In the first quarter of 2025, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity continued to receive attention from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee, and achieved quite positive results in both prevention and combat. Following the direction and orientation of the Central Steering Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee promptly issued a Work Program and Plan to inspect the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in 2025.

In particular, the work of preventing and combating waste has been strengthened in the context of the whole country streamlining the organizational apparatus, implementing the merger of communes and wards, implementing two-level government; reviewing works and projects with signs of major waste in the fields of land, resources, environment, financial management, and public assets. Continuing to effectively implement measures to prevent corruption, waste, and negativity. Improving the effectiveness and efficiency of supervision and criticism by elected agencies and the Fatherland Front on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission Ha Van Trong attended the meeting.

Directing heads of Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units, and localities at all levels to develop programs and plans for the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity in 2025 for effective and efficient implementation in the areas and fields under their management and responsibility. Directing competent agencies to implement the conclusions of Inspection Team No. 6 of the Central Steering Committee; focusing on handling corruption and negativity cases and incidents, especially those under the supervision and direction of the Central Internal Affairs Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee. Thanks to the good work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, it has significantly contributed to stabilizing the situation and promoting socio-economic development of the province.

At the meeting, delegates assessed the results achieved and pointed out some difficulties and limitations in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the 10th meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Duy Lam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the prevention and combat of corruption, waste and negativity, assigned the Standing Office of the Steering Committee to advise on the establishment of 2 inspection teams as planned; study and advise on the document of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to direct communes and wards (after the merger) to include the content of the work of preventing and combating waste and negativity in the Political Report submitted to the Party Congress for the term 2025-2030. The relevant agencies coordinate to speed up the handling of cases under the supervision of the Central Internal Affairs Committee and the direction of the Provincial Steering Committee. Direct the effective implementation of the work of combating waste according to the direction documents of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee./.
