Together with people to develop the economy

In order to contribute to ensuring social security, in recent times, together with local Party committees and authorities, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Branch of the Bank for Social Policies has coordinated to effectively implement loan programs, helping poor households and policy beneficiaries to conveniently access preferential credit sources, develop the economy , increase income and improve their lives.

Previously, Mr. Truong Van Thang's family was one of the poor households in Trau village, Hoang Dan commune, Tam Duong district. Having access to preferential loans for poor households from the Social Policy Bank, Mr. Thang's family invested in breeding cows, combined with raising pigs and chickens. Thanks to hard work, the family's cows gave birth to a litter every year. With a stable source of income, Mr. Thang's family escaped poverty, and their economic life became increasingly prosperous.

Through the loan programs implemented, as of March 31, the Tam Duong District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office has disbursed preferential loans to over 10,000 households, with a total outstanding loan of over VND550 billion. Of which, loans for job creation are over VND243 billion; loans for clean water and environmental sanitation are over VND175 billion; loans for newly escaped poverty households are VND38 billion; loans for near-poor households are VND24 billion; loans for social housing are nearly VND21 billion; loans for poor households are over VND13 billion; and other loan programs.

Along with promoting the disbursement of preferential credit capital for people, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Tam Duong district also strengthens the management of loans, promotes the borrowing households to develop production; guides the borrowing households to use capital for the right purpose, effectively to help the poor and other policy beneficiaries develop the economy, stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably; contribute to ensuring social security, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
