On the afternoon of April 15, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh chaired an online conference to remove obstacles and difficulties for renewable energy projects.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and leaders of departments and branches attended the conference.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has sent working groups to work and urge localities such as Ninh Thuan, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa... to remove difficulties for renewable energy projects.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has directly discussed and clarified the authority to resolve a number of problems and difficulties in the provinces when implementing renewable energy projects.
The provinces have clearly understood the authority and methods for handling difficulties and obstacles; agreed to continue implementing the work of resolving difficulties and obstacles of the projects.
However, at present, there are still many problems that have not been resolved. Among them, the overlapping of mineral planning with renewable energy projects causes great difficulties in the implementation process.
The conversion of forest and forest land use purposes for projects still has shortcomings. In many localities, renewable energy projects are built on agricultural and forestry land without clear resolution...
Reporting at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that Dak Nong is focusing on implementing the instructions of central ministries and branches to remove obstacles for renewable energy projects.
The province reported very promptly on the removal of difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of projects. However, the biggest difficulty that Dak Nong is facing is bauxite planning. The province has repeatedly given opinions to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on this issue.
“We propose to the central ministries and branches to provide a mechanism, organization and implementation method, and assessment of the level of impact and economic efficiency. If possible, the central government will authorize the locality to be responsible for organizing the assessment. Dak Nong will make a plan, arrange funding, and hire a consulting unit to implement it in order to speed up the implementation progress,” Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi proposed.
Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh affirmed: “Now, it can be affirmed that there is nothing left. Localities have reviewed and completed the removal of difficulties for the project. We must fulfill our responsibilities. Avoid the situation where a ball keeps being pushed back and forth.”
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that for construction procedures and processes under the authority of the province, localities should boldly do so.
Any forestry planning or agricultural planning issue related to any ministry or sector must be immediately responded to by the localities. Avoid the situation where the localities send documents and then wait for the Central Government to respond.
"Everyone should focus on removing difficulties in May 2025 so that by June 2025 the Government can report to the Politburo," Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh directed.
