Prosecution of fan shop owner and employee for assaulting Hanoi Radio and Television reporter

On June 17, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Da District Police (Hanoi) issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and prosecute Pham Van Phuong (born in 1981, permanent residence: Xuan Phu, Xuan Truong, Nam Dinh) and Le Van Hung (born in 1984, permanent residence: Khai Quang, Vinh Yen, Vinh Phuc) for the crime of Intentional Infliction of Injury.

The two defendants above are the owner and employee of Khanh Phuong fan store, in O Cho Dua ward, Dong Da district, who assaulted a reporter of Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

At the police station, Phuong and Hung confessed to all their actions of beating and injuring the reporter.

Previously, at 2:25 p.m. on June 6, when a group of reporters from Hanoi Radio and Television were preparing to deploy cameras to record the sale of rechargeable fans on the sidewalk in front of an electric fan store in Dong Cac, O Cho Dua area, they were beaten.

Immediately after the incident, reporters reported it to the police of O Cho Dua ward, Dong Da district and took the TTC reporter to the hospital for emergency treatment due to multiple injuries.
