Also attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Party Central Committee members, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Chairman of Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies and Hanoi.

Replacing the old Exhibition Center in Giang Vo, the National Exhibition Fair Center has a total area of ​​up to 90 hectares, belonging to the TOP of the largest exhibition centers in the world. The Center complex is expected to be an international destination for leading global trade events and exhibitions.

The project is located right at the Northeast gateway of Hanoi, the center of important traffic arteries to the provinces including roads, airways and planned metro. From the project, it only takes 15 minutes to move to Noi Bai International Airport, 5 minutes to Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts via Tu Lien bridge (under construction), adjacent to the future metro line connecting Dong Anh with other locations in Hanoi city. Currently, the project is conveniently connected to the center of Hanoi via National Highway 5 extension, Truong Sa road and Dong Tru and Nhat Tan bridges.

The indoor exhibition hall is the focal point of the complex, bearing the image of the Golden Turtle God - one of the four sacred spirits in Eastern culture, associated with the legend of the Golden Turtle God protecting the "spiritual land of talented people" Co Loa, Dong Anh.

In conjunction with the main exhibition building are four outdoor exhibition parks that accommodate many large-scale activities taking place at the same time, with a total outdoor exhibition space area of ​​up to 20.6 hectares.

After the main construction is completed, two other small-scale indoor exhibition halls will also be deployed to increase the scale and choice for customers.

Serving the core exhibition area is an ecosystem of diverse auxiliary works, including commercial and service areas, high-rise offices, a 5-star international hotel expected to be managed by Marriott, outdoor parking areas...

With the official groundbreaking of the National Exhibition and Fair Center in Dong Anh, Vingroup continues to make its mark as one of the pioneering enterprises contributing to changing the urban landscape and promoting local economic development.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that, recognizing the role, position and importance of the project, implementing the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the leaders of Hanoi have focused on directing the acceleration of procedures for preparing investment for the project. The city has promptly reported to the Government, the Prime Minister and central ministries and branches to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing planning, approving investment policies, approving investment projects, etc. Up to now, the project has met the conditions to start construction.

In the coming time, Hanoi City will continue to accompany and support the investor in implementing the project, with the goal of putting the project into operation as soon as possible. In addition, the city will accelerate the investment in developing urban transport infrastructure and the system of bridges across the Red River such as Tu Lien Bridge, Ring Road 3 in the North of the city, Ring Road 4 - Capital Region, urban railway lines, etc. to create synchronous connections between the National Exhibition Center project and neighboring areas, effectively exploit the value of the project and contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the capital.

“The investor is requested to continue to proactively coordinate with the city’s departments, agencies and branches in implementing project management; strictly comply with procedures, processes and technical regulations. Regularly monitor, inspect and promptly resolve arising problems; ensure labor safety, traffic safety and environmental sanitation” - the Chairman of the City People’s Committee emphasized.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the Ministry is committed to coordinating with Hanoi city and the investor throughout the project implementation process and effectively operating the Center's facilities in accordance with current regulations.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung expressed his belief that with a lot of experience and success in production and business, especially always upholding the development philosophy based on national pride and self-respect, always aiming for a better life for the people, Vingroup Corporation will strive and mobilize resources to complete the project, putting the project into operation on schedule in 2025.
