Start 1 project, complete 2 road projects in the third quarter of 2024

Specifically, in July 2024, component project 2 of the Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway project phase 1 will start construction.

Two completed projects include: Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Hoa Binh City bypass, Hoa Binh province and project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 8A, section Km 37+00 - Km 85+300 through Ha Tinh province.

According to PV's investigation, component project 2 of the Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway project is over 11km long, passing through the two provinces of Tien Giang and Dong Thap. The project has a total investment capital of over 3,800 billion VND. Of which, the cost of site clearance is over 1,000 billion VND.

In phase 1, the project invested in a 4-lane cross-section, 17m roadbed width, and 80km/h operating speed.

The completed phase cross-section scale meets four-lane highway standards, with emergency lanes.

Previously, the 16km long component project 1 passing through Dong Thap province of the Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway project was started in June 2023.

The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, avoiding Hoa Binh City, has a length of 5km (from Km 73+500 - Km 78+500), with a total investment of 474 billion VND.

The project is built according to the standards of a level 3 plain highway, with a scale of 4 lanes, a median strip; roadbed width of 20.5m; design speed of 80km/h.

Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 8A, section Km 37+00 - Km 85+300 through Ha Tinh province

The investment project to build and upgrade National Highway 8A, section Km37 - Km 85+300 (from Pho Chau town to Cau Treo international border gate) has a length of about 45.5km, with a total investment of more than 1,662 billion VND from the State budget.

Once completed, the project will make it easier for vehicles to travel from Pho Chau town to Cau Treo border gate. Travel time on the route will be halved to about 1.5 hours instead of nearly 3 hours as it is now.
