Khanh Hoa, Ho Quynh Huong, Bao Yen, Le Viet Anh "burn" themselves out with island soldiers

The program is organized by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra in coordination with the Navy on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the liberation of Truong Sa island district (April 29, 1975 - April 29, 2024); 49th anniversary of the liberation of Khanh Hoa province (April 2, 1975 - April 2, 2024).

In recent times, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra has organized many concerts on the theme of islands and navy soldiers, creating a wide spread, propaganda, education to raise awareness, responsibility and love for the country's islands in the new situation. And this program also hopes to bring the world's and Vietnam's top musical works to soldiers, audiences... to spread the love for music, for the homeland and islands.

The program has the participation and sponsorship of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Agribank.

The program had the participation of Meritorious Artist Khanh Hoa, singers Ho Quynh Huong, Bao Yen, Le Viet Anh... The singers "burned" themselves out with unique musical works, with high value in terms of ideological and artistic content praising the sea, islands, praising the fatherland and navy soldiers.

Opening the program, under the direction of conductor Nguyen Khac Thanh, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra performed two outstanding orchestral works from Europe, namely Bizet's opera suite Carmen and Strauss's Sound of Spring .

Next is the song "That Place is Truong Sa" (composed by Xuan Nghia) performed by Meritorious Artist Khanh Hoa. Last night, the female artist stepped onto the stage in a navy blue ao dai. Known as the "singer of Truong Sa", Khanh Hoa is always close to soldiers and the sea and islands. Perhaps that is why she sang about Truong Sa with all the love she has for this place. Her performance was enthusiastically cheered by the audience at the music night. Especially the officers and soldiers of the navy present in the program.

"The first time I set foot on Truong Sa archipelago was in 2009, when I went to the island with my brothers and sisters from Thang Long Music and Dance Theater to perform. In 2012, I returned to Truong Sa to make the MV " Close to Truong Sa" . Since then, I have been to Truong Sa archipelago 7 times. I always feel warm and close whenever someone mentions this land. And I also always have very special feelings for the navy soldiers.

I was very happy and excited to be invited to participate in the program Khanh Hoa - Sea, love and nostalgia - a program that brings top music closer to soldiers and people. I hope that the performance of the orchestra and artists in the program will bring the soldiers and people of Khanh Hoa deep emotions. From there, we will love our homeland Vietnam and our homeland's sea and islands more", Meritorious Artist Khanh Hoa expressed to Dan Viet .

After the first song, Meritorious Artist Khanh Hoa and singer Le Viet Anh sang the song Country of Love by musician Tran Le Giang. In addition, the male singer from Hanoi also performed Boat and Sea (lyrics: Xuan Quynh, music: Phan Huynh Dieu) with a youthful style and powerful voice.

"I feel very honored to sing for the navy soldiers and the people of the sea. For me, this is a very special program because I get to sing with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra with immortal songs. I use my voice to send my best wishes to the soldiers who are guarding the sea and islands far away, day and night, to stay healthy and complete their assigned tasks well," Viet Anh said emotionally.

The appearance of singer Ho Quynh Huong in the program also received enthusiastic cheers from soldiers and audiences. The female singer performed the songs Bien sings this afternoon (composed by: Hong Dang) and Giai diep To quoc (composed by: Tran Tien).

Confiding with Dan Viet , Ho Quynh Huong said that she has performed many times for soldiers in many regions, but each time she has special feelings for the island soldiers. She herself also wore the green uniform of a soldier when studying at the Military University of Culture and Arts. She has not been to Truong Sa, but this archipelago, this sea... always has a sacred place in her heart. Therefore, when singing about the sea and the fatherland with the cheers of a large audience, she feels very sublime. The love for her homeland, the sea and islands, the island soldiers... is therefore more fresh and exciting.

Singer Bao Yen - a soprano who has appeared in many musicals of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater - was also filled with emotions when she stepped on stage to perform two solo songs, a famous Russian romance "Return to Me Again" by Webber and "Solovei " (Lark) - a song about the desire for freedom, the desire to fly to every land and sing clearly like a lark.

"With national pride always burning in my heart, love for freedom and love for peace, I feel extremely meaningful to be able to perform this song in my homeland, in the coastal city of Nha Trang. I will always remember the quiet moments of the show. I hope to have many opportunities to return here to continue singing for the soldiers and people of Khanh Hoa to listen to", singer Bao Yen confided.

In addition to the sweet, youthful lyrics expressing the intense love for the sea and islands, for the homeland of Vietnam, the melodious melodies of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra through works: Turkish March by musical genius Mozart, Love for a Princess by Horner, The Godfather orchestra suite ... arranged by Vietnamese musicians also bring an exciting and interesting atmosphere.

The program concluded with the performance of "The Country is Full of Joy" by musician Hoang Ha, performed by four artists Khanh Hoa, Ho Quynh Huong, Bao Yen, and Viet Anh. The artists' lyrics, in sync with the applause and singing of the audience below the stage, created a song that echoed endlessly. The song became even more meaningful when it was performed on the occasion of Vietnam joyfully celebrating the 49th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024).
