However, the guidance of cadres at all levels of units of Military Region 9, along with the efforts and determination to train their bravery and intelligence, has helped many new soldiers achieve excellent results in the final exam and mark their maturity in the new period.

From the segmental shooting to the final test, the shooting results of Private Dao Thanh Duy, a soldier of Squad 8, Platoon 22, Company 4, Battalion 2, Brigade 29, Information Brigade 29, were always good and excellent. “I always performed the correct movements and shooting experiences that the commanders taught. No matter what shooting position I was in, I had to hold the gun firmly, not holding it too tightly as it would make my heart beat faster, leading to increased fluctuation in the aiming line. Next, I needed to be calm, maintain a steady mind, and have high determination in each shot. For grenade throwing, having a strong hand is only a necessary condition, another important factor is determining the direction, how to hold, swing and release at the right time to ensure hitting the target. Having learned the contents with explosions, I felt like I was calm and meticulous through each movement, because if there was a mistake, the risk of being unsafe is very high,” the young man from An Truong commune, Cang Long district (Tra Vinh) shared his experience.

Hometown: Truong Xuan B commune, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city, Private Nguyen Nhat Tri, soldier of Squad 2, Platoon 8, Company 4, Battalion 2, Information Brigade 29 always tries his best in studying to win "good shooting flowers" for his parents. From a young man who often hangs out with friends, stays up late, wakes up late, and has an unscientific schedule, Tri has now integrated very well into the military lifestyle. Not only that, Tri's maturity in perception and actions helps his family feel more secure and proud. Private Nguyen Nhat Tri said: "Proficient use of weapons and equipment is an essential requirement that soldiers in the army need to grasp firmly to be ready to carry out tasks when ordered. Therefore, this is the goal that helps me study and pass the "3 explosions" test with good marks. I have also just registered to study Information Squad Leader at the Military School of the Military Region, the knowledge learned from the school will help me contribute more".

During the training process, officers at all levels of Battalion 2 always closely guide and train new soldiers. A good combination between the unit, family and locality is needed to educate and motivate soldiers. Captain Nguyen Duc Tam, Political Commissar of Company 4, Battalion 2, said: “Currently, soldiers have a high sense of responsibility to properly implement all the contents set forth by officers at all levels. Because right after receiving, we always monitor the progress of the soldiers in terms of awareness, ability to grasp the content, and practice movements; at the same time, meticulously record the strengths and weaknesses of each subject to promptly nurture as well as detect and select soldiers with good training methods to propose to study at schools inside and outside the Military Region”.

At Battalion 3, Brigade 962, despite the hot weather, the soldiers still focused, patiently performed each key movement, determined to achieve high results in the "3 explosions" test. Finishing the shooting with a score of 80, Private Tran Van Vi, soldier of Squad 21, Platoon 7, Company 3, Battalion 3, happily shared: "I am very happy to have achieved excellent shooting. When holding the gun in my hand, I was both nervous and worried, but with the encouragement of the firing officer, I calmly recalled each operation I had learned and focused on shooting. In the explosives content, I remembered the operations I had learned, calmly assembled each part, and hit the target according to the task, then the result will be excellent."

In daily life, new soldiers also voluntarily put themselves into order and discipline. That maturity does not come naturally without the education from the unit and the self-discipline of each soldier. Major Ho Thai Dien, Battalion Commander, Battalion 3, Brigade 962, said: “In training, the unit strictly implements the principle from simple to complex, theory combined with practice. In addition to concentrated training, cadres at all levels are always close to, helping and encouraging soldiers with slow perception, difficult family circumstances... Thanks to the attention of cadres, all new soldiers try their best and the quality of training of the unit has been significantly improved. After the test firing sessions, the unit not only promptly commended and rewarded soldiers with good achievements, but also increased inspection and supervision of training, persistently corrected and specifically instructed soldiers with limitations according to the method of "holding hands and showing how to do things". Up to now, many comrades have clearly matured, especially in knowledge of military, politics, style, behavior and are ready to enter the next training phase."

It can be seen that new soldiers in different units, although having different conditions and circumstances, thanks to good education and strict training, have matured in their awareness and actions. The soldiers constantly train and strive to become pioneers and exemplary soldiers. Not only that, many comrades have high professional qualifications and wish to attend professional training courses or serve long-term in the army to contribute more.
