Over the past 80 years, under the wise and talented leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, our Army has overcome countless difficulties and challenges, gradually growing and maturing. As a revolutionary army, born from the people, fighting for the people, closely attached to the people; worthy of the praise of beloved President Ho Chi Minh: “Our Army is loyal to the Party, filial to the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism. Every task is completed, every difficulty is overcome, every enemy is defeated”. December 22nd every year has become a great national festival, expressing the will of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire Army to successfully build and firmly protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

Military Region 9 was established on December 10, 1945. After 79 years of building, fighting and growing, the Military Region's Military Region has always relied on the people, promoted the combined strength, proactive and creative spirit; in all circumstances, always upheld the spirit of revolutionary vigilance... promptly and resolutely defeated all plots and sabotage tricks of the enemy. Entering a new phase, the Military Region 9 continued to leave a good mark in all aspects of work, especially as the core in building an all-people national defense, an all-people national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture and defense areas... Speaking at the meeting, Major General Ho Van Thai, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 9 affirmed: “Promoting the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army, officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces continue to thoroughly grasp and successfully implement the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws, especially the 13th Central Committee Resolution on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation. Focus on leading and directing the good organization of party congresses at all levels and the 11th Military Region Party Congress, term 2025-2030; building a clean and strong "exemplary" party organization associated with building a comprehensively strong "exemplary and exemplary" agency and unit; building discipline, training discipline, improving the overall quality and combat strength of the Military Region's armed forces; excellently completing all assigned tasks...”.
