Gia Loc communal house is a national historical and cultural relic (located in Loc Thanh quarter, Trang Bang ward, Trang Bang town), built more than two centuries ago, is a work bearing a strong historical mark, worshiping Mr. Ca Dang Van Truoc - the person who reclaimed land, established hamlets, built villages, established markets, and civilized the ancient land of Trang Bang.
In 1994, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) recognized Gia Loc Communal House as a national historical and cultural relic. In 2012, the Ky Yen Festival of Gia Loc Communal House was officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage.
This year, the Ky Yen festival is held for 3 days (from April 11-13). In the morning of the same day, there are ceremonies to invite the God's Sac from the temple of Mr. Dang Van Truoc to Gia Loc communal house, the Tuc Yet ceremony, and the Dai Boi Chau ceremony. In the evening of the same day, in the communal house yard, there is a cultural program performed by local artists and actors.
On April 12 and 13, there will be the Cau An ceremony, the Dan Ca ceremony and the ceremony to bring the God's Sac to the Ca Ong temple.
