The U9 Open Tournament "1st Thong Nhat Cup - 2025" is organized by Thong Nhat Sports Center to respond to the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The tournament is organized with the aim of selecting athletes with good professional qualifications to represent Ho Chi Minh City and participate in the "National U9 Tournament" in 2025. The young strikers participating in the tournament are all between the ages of 7 and 9, studying at primary schools in the city.

After the opening ceremony, the two opening matches of the tournament in Group A had their results: Navy Phu Nhuan won District 6 with a score of 4-0; District 5 won Nam Son District 10 with a score of 5-1.

This youth football tournament took place with 8 participating teams, divided into 2 groups. Group A: District 5, Navy Phu Nhuan, District 6 and Nam Son District 10; the remaining group included: Thu Duc City, Vietgoal, Ban Me Ngoc Hung and Thang Long - Binh Tan District.

VietGoal upgrades training for "young" players
The teams will compete in a round robin format, selecting the first and second teams in each group to compete in the semi-finals.
The tournament will take place on March 29 and 30 at Thong Nhat Stadium. The winning team will receive a Cup, medals, souvenir flags and prize money.
