BTO-On the afternoon of December 20, the 2nd Phan Thiet City Open 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Championship - Duy Son Cup, officially opened with nearly 80 players from clubs in the province. This is a sports tournament organized by the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City in coordination with the Binh Thuan Billiards Federation.
Mr. Le Ba Hung - Director of the Provincial Training, Coaching and Competition Center, Nguyen Nam Long - Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ninh - Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Billiards Federation attended the opening ceremony .
The tournament has nearly 80 players from clubs in the province, competing from December 20-22 . With the knockout format, each player will be allowed to start once according to UMB rules. Players who hit an A-ball or higher will be counted as 2 points (bank shot). In the qualifying round, 2 sets will be played (11 points each), the player who wins 2 sets will win. If there is a tie, a 3rd set will be played (5 points), the player who gets 5 points first will win. After that, the competition will continue to the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Nam Long said: The 2nd Phan Thiet City Open 3-Cushion Billiards Carom Championship - Duy Son Cup this time is held on the occasion of celebrating the New Year 2024. Responding to the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan Green Convergence". This is not only a sports playground, but also has spiritual significance to create a competitive atmosphere right from the beginning of the new year, strengthening solidarity and learning between individuals and groups of units and clubs in Binh Thuan province.
