On January 16, Yen Khanh District People's Committee held a conference to summarize emulation and reward work in 2023; deploy directions and tasks for 2024. Attending the conference was comrade Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.
In 2023, Yen Khanh district's economy continues to develop, agricultural production is bumper; industry, handicrafts, trade and services maintain growth rates.
The national target program on new rural construction (NTM) has been focused on and achieved remarkable results. Yen Khanh district has completed 9/9 criteria for advanced NTM district and is proposing the Central Government for appraisal and recognition.
The management of construction investment, land, environment, and site clearance has been focused on, led and directed resolutely, achieving many results. Cultural and social activities have been promoted; social security has been ensured. Local defense and military work has been strengthened. All 9/9 main targets for socio-economic development set by the district have been achieved and exceeded the plan.
The above results demonstrate the solidarity and great efforts of the entire Party Committee, government and people of Yen Khanh district, in which the patriotic emulation movement has created the driving force for the district to successfully carry out its tasks.
The patriotic emulation movements in 2023 have been actively, proactively and extensively deployed by Yen Khanh district at all levels, sectors, agencies and units in all fields, thereby contributing to motivating and encouraging cadres and civil servants to promote positivity, proactiveness, creativity, the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, overcoming difficulties, and successfully carrying out political tasks at agencies and units.
Notable are the emulation movements: Building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas; studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, skillful mass mobilization; activities to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the title Yen Khanh; building cultural life, reducing poverty; ensuring security - social order and safety... which have been widely and effectively implemented by all levels, sectors and localities; contributing to changing the face of the countryside, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
With the achieved results, in 2023, Yen Khanh district had 2 collectives honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; 1 collective received the Excellent Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee, 8 collectives achieved the title of Excellent Labor; 11 collectives and 13 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and many collectives and individuals were awarded emulation titles and rewards of the district.
Launching the emulation movement in 2024, comrade Nguyen Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of Yen Khanh district emphasized: 2024 is a year of special importance in promoting the implementation and striving to complete the goals and targets of socio-economic development for the 5 years 2021-2025; organizing activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the district and receiving the Certificate of recognition of the district meeting advanced NTM standards.
Therefore, it is recommended that each individual and collective in the political system from the district to the grassroots level and all people in the district continue to strengthen solidarity, unity, dynamism, creativity, promote internal strength, will to rise up, aspiration for development, innovation, strive, make every effort to promote and respond to patriotic emulation movements, determined to successfully implement the socio-economic development goals and tasks set out by the district.
