The district has also coordinated with functional forces to inspect businesses, distribution agents, and warehouses supplying goods to serve the Tet needs of companies and business units; inspect markets and means of transport with signs of transporting smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and prohibited goods, especially firecrackers, cigarettes, alcohol, poultry, etc. Along with that, strengthen propaganda and mobilize organizations and individuals not to trade in counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods that do not ensure food hygiene and safety. Coordinate with relevant sectors, localities, and units to organize business households in the area to sign a commitment to strictly comply with legal regulations in commercial business, and not to unreasonably increase prices of goods during Tet.
In Van Don district, there are currently more than 3,000 food production, processing and trading establishments, of which the agricultural sector manages 2,257 establishments, the health sector manages 501 establishments, and the industry and trade sector manages 245 establishments. To strengthen management, the district has established an inter-sectoral Steering Committee for food safety and hygiene headed by the Chairman of the District People's Committee; established 3 sub-committees on food safety under the health sector, agriculture and rural development, and industry and trade. 100% of communes and towns have established a Food Safety Steering Committee. Up to now, 100% of establishments under management have signed a commitment to ensure food safety.
