At the construction site, there are always 50 - 60 workers concentrating on the remaining construction items such as: Completing the embankment, median strip, concrete pavement, installing lighting system...
According to the leader of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works of Bac Giang Province - the investor, the unit is focusing on urging and requesting contractors to commit to speeding up the construction progress of the remaining items of the project; striving to open the technical traffic before September 2 this year.
On the Hai Duong side, up to now, the construction unit of Dong Viet bridge approach road connecting with National Highway 37 (Chi Linh City) has paved nearly 5 km of asphalt concrete, striving to complete the project in the third quarter of 2024.
Currently, the unit has also completed the unloading of weak soil at the bridgehead and started the construction of the roadbed. At the same time, it is carrying out drainage projects, tree planting projects, reinforcing the slope and constructing the traffic safety system including installing signs, painting lines, installing guardrails, and markers, etc.
On the Hai Duong side, the Dong Viet bridge approach road connecting National Highway 37 is 5.3 km long, passing through the wards and communes of Hung Dao, Le Loi, Cong Hoa (Chi Linh); the scale of the road is class II, the roadbed is 22.5 m; the design speed is 80 km/h; the total investment capital is more than 469.8 billion VND.
The completion of Dong Viet Bridge will help people travel conveniently and safely, and is expected to promote the circulation of goods between Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces, develop tourism, and create conditions to attract investors to industrial parks and clusters in the province.
