At the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang expressway project construction site, contractors have mobilized nearly 900 workers, more than 400 locomotives and equipment to speed up progress.
Lang Son Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Van Nghiem recently led a working delegation to inspect the construction site, visit and wish a Happy New Year to workers of the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang Expressway project.
Lang Son Provincial Party Committee delegation listened to the project enterprise's report.
According to the project enterprise's report (DNDA), up to now, the site clearance work for the entire expressway has reached over 70%.
At the construction site, contractors are mobilizing 426 machines and equipment, 886 personnel, and simultaneously deploying 39 construction teams across the entire project. Total construction output to date has reached 391/6,580 billion VND.
"Contractors will work until the 29th of Tet and will start construction again on the 2nd day of Tet, taking advantage of each day to ensure the progress of the route," said a representative of DNDA.
Also here, DNDA proposed that Lang Son province and relevant agencies accelerate site clearance and handover of 100% of cleared land, complete relocation of technical infrastructure, and handover of approved dumping sites in the first quarter of 2025. These are also prerequisites to ensure the route is opened in 2025.

Recognizing and praising the efforts of the enterprise and the team of engineers and workers at the construction site, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Van Nghiem emphasized: "The Huu Nghi - Chi Lang border gate expressway project not only has strategic significance for Lang Son province but also plays an important role in connecting international trade.
"Relevant parties need to coordinate closely to completely resolve problems, ensuring the goal of opening the route by the end of 2025 as directed by the Prime Minister," Mr. Nghiem directed.
Secretary Hoang Van Nghiem also encouraged construction units to continue to maintain a sense of responsibility, organize reasonable division of labor and strengthen construction quality control.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee and the delegation presented many meaningful gifts and sent New Year greetings to the officers, engineers and workers working at the project. The timely gifts and encouragement have added motivation and encouragement to the team of workers to be determined to complete their tasks well.
The Huu Nghi - Chi Lang border gate expressway project has a total length of 60km, including the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang section of 43km, designed with a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles, a roadbed width of 17m; the section connecting Tan Thanh - Coc Nam border gate is 17km long, with a scale of 2 lanes for motor vehicles, a roadbed width of 14.5m.
The project is invested under the PPP method, BOT contract type, with the People's Committee of Lang Son province as the competent state agency, with a total investment of more than 11,000 billion VND.
Of which, the state budget capital participating in the project is 5,495 billion VND (3,500 billion VND from the central budget, 2,000 billion VND from the local budget), and the investor's arranged capital is 5,529 billion VND. Deo Ca is the leading unit of the investor consortium.
