Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to officials and workers working at the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the units to speed up construction and bring the project to the finish line soon.


On the afternoon of February 1 (the 4th day of Tet), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a working delegation of the Government, ministries, departments and branches visited and encouraged engineers and workers working during Tet at Nhon Trach Bridge (part of component project 1A of Ring Road 3, Ho Chi Minh City).

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh encouraged workers constructing Nhon Trach bridge on the afternoon of the 4th day of Tet.

Here, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, contractors, engineers and workers who have stayed at the construction site over the past time, especially during Tet holidays.

The head of the Government requested that, in addition to progress, special attention must be paid to project quality and the lives of workers and laborers.

"The dry season here is very hot, so we need to pay attention and take care of our engineers and workers. Any problems or difficulties must be reported immediately for timely support. The two provinces of Tien Giang and Ben Tre need to immediately provide sand mines to serve the Belt Road 3 projects," the Prime Minister emphasized.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister gave gifts and lucky money to officers, engineers and workers who were working during Tet at the construction site.

Previously, reporting to the Prime Minister and the working delegation, Mr. Tran Van Thi, Director of My Thuan Project Management Board, said that the Component 1A project is 8.22km long, including 6.30km through Dong Nai province and 1.92km in Ho Chi Minh City. Up to now, the total progress of the entire project has reached 85.1%, exceeding 8.4% compared to the contract.

The project starts at the intersection with Provincial Road 25B, in Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province (Km 5+000) and ends at the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City (Km 13+220). The total investment is 6,955.65 billion VND.

The project includes the 2,600m long Nhon Trach bridge package, constructed by contractor Kumho E&C (Korea). The package value is 1,608 billion VND.

The 5,620m long approach road package, constructed by the Dongbu (Korea) - VNCN E&C joint venture, is worth VND1,071 billion. The supervision consultant is the Sambo-Kunhwa-Jinwoo joint venture (Korea).

In particular, the Nhon Trach bridge package started construction on September 24, 2022. Up to now, the main Nhon Trach bridge has completed 3 middle spans, and the 2 border spans will be completed in February.

The approach bridge has launched 264/272 Super T girders (97% achieved), the concrete deck of the Super T span has been poured for 29/34 spans (76%). The entire bridge deck will be completed in February 2025.

The construction of the approach road package at both ends of the bridge started on May 29, 2023. Currently, the Rach Chay bridge section on the route and the intersection of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway have reached 80% of the construction volume. The route is being graded with crushed stone on top and 10cm asphalt concrete.

Although the project progress is good, the Project Management Board and the contractor still organize construction during Tet to ensure progress, striving to complete by April 30.

Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh joined the working delegation and presented gifts from the Prime Minister to workers constructing Ring Road 3.

To promptly connect Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway, Ring Road 3 with Nhon Trach Bridge, Ho Chi Minh City and localities are accelerating construction. In particular, focusing on construction of two branches at the intersection between component project 1A and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway.

At the same time, the section from the expressway to Tan Van intersection is also striving to be technically open to traffic in 2025. Other sections through Dong Nai, Long An, and Binh Duong will also be basically completed in 2025 and put into operation in 2026.

Nhon Trach Bridge, upon completion, will shorten the journey from Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, facilitating the transportation of goods, enhancing trade exchanges, separating traffic from a distance and reducing congestion on existing routes.

This step by step contributes to completing the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 system, promoting socio-economic development in the Eastern and Southwestern regions.

On the morning of February 1 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), in Binh Duong province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave the order to start construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, the section passing through Binh Duong province.

The Prime Minister praised Binh Duong province and investors for actively implementing preparations for the project to start construction in early spring of the year of the Snake 2025. This is a strategic route, connecting inter-regional expressways, from the Southeast to the Central Highlands.

At noon the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Long Thanh airport construction site to wish the New Year and encourage workers and contractors. This was the 6th time Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Long Thanh airport construction site in the past 3 years.

The Prime Minister encouraged the engineers and workers who have made great efforts to speed up the project's progress in the past time, and requested that they continue to accelerate the project in 2025 to bring it to the finish line soon. Here, the Prime Minister presented gifts and New Year's lucky money to the engineers and workers.
