More than 17,700 billion VND invested in Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway

The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Construction Investment Project was approved for implementation under the public-private partnership model (phase 1). This project starts at Loc Phat Ward, Bao Loc City and ends at the intersection with Lien Khuong - Prenn Expressway, Hiep Thanh Commune, Duc Trong District, with a total length of more than 73 km.

The project has a total investment of more than 17,700 billion VND, of which investor capital is about 9,960 billion VND and state capital is more than 7,760 billion VND.

The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project ends at the intersection with the Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway.

The entire route has 6 intersections: Nguyen Van Cu, Tan Chau, Gia Hiep, Phu Hoi, Lien Hiep and Lien Khuong. The project will build 13 bridges on the main route, 35 overpasses across the highway and 3 bridges in interchanges.

In phase 1, the project has a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17m, operating speed of 80km/h; about 4-5km, an emergency stop will be arranged in the same direction of traffic. Rest stops will be arranged on both sides of the highway at Km132+300 (right side of the route) and Km135+000 (left side of the route) in Loc An commune, Bao Lam district (about 5 ha/station).

It is expected that this year, Lam Dong province will organize the selection of investors through open domestic bidding and complete and put into use in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha surveyed the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway in September 2024.

Currently, in Lam Dong province, there are two key expressway projects with a total investment of tens of thousands of billions of VND, including: Tan Phu (Dong Nai) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway project, 66km long, with a total investment of 17,200 billion VND. Bao Loc - Lien Khuong (Lam Dong) expressway project is the final segment in the Dong Nai - Lam Dong inter-provincial expressway construction project.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee is working with the Ministry of Transport to propose the construction of the Da Lat - Nha Trang expressway to enhance tourism connectivity between Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces.

This year, Lam Dong was allocated more than 7,100 billion VND in public investment capital. However, in the first quarter, the whole province only disbursed more than 430 billion VND, accounting for about 6%, 9% lower than the plan set at the beginning of the year (15%).

In particular, the two expressway projects Tan Phu - Bao Loc and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong have a total planned capital of more than 3,300 billion VND, accounting for 46.8% of the planned capital that has not been disbursed because the authorities are coordinating with the investor to edit and complete the feasibility study report.
