The mailbox “The Front listens to people’s opinions” is one of the new models that has been effectively implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Hoa commune in recent times. This practical model has created an effective information channel for leaders at all levels to grasp and resolve thoughts, aspirations, opinions and recommendations from the grassroots, thereby improving leadership, direction and management.
The mailboxes of “Front listening to people’s opinions” are located in 11 village cultural houses in Dien Hoa commune, established on the basis of voluntary agreement of all participating members. The model includes the head, deputy head and members with the community responsible for grasping the situation of the people, public opinion, and issues arising in residential areas.
At the same time, coordinate propaganda and mobilize people to comply with the law, help them protect their legitimate rights and interests; live and work according to the constitution and law, contributing to preventing violations of the law in the community.
Ha Dong village, Dien Hoa commune is located far from the administrative center of the commune, so the number of people attending meetings, forums, dialogues, etc. is very small. Only important meetings do people come to the Commune People's Committee to attend, but the number is also insignificant.
Since the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Hoa commune installed a mailbox in the village cultural house, the villagers have been very excited and satisfied. After its launch, the mailbox became a public address for Ha Dong people to send their opinions on new rural construction and many other issues to petition their superiors.
Practical effectiveness
Mr. Nguyen Di - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Hoa commune said that the people's comments could be on many fields. Including the leadership, management, and operation of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the commune in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, security, administrative reform; anti-corruption, anti-waste; building a model new countryside...
After a period of implementation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has received many opinions and recommendations from the people on outstanding issues arising from practical life. Accordingly, urgent issues are promptly resolved right from the residential area, limiting the situation of petitions going beyond the level, not allowing them to become "hot spots".
According to the working regime, members will be assigned to open mailboxes every week, summarize people's opinions and feedback, classify and issue official dispatches requesting solutions to send to relevant agencies for consideration and resolution according to their authority.
In addition, people can also exchange their thoughts and aspirations or directly reflect and make recommendations to the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and the Head of the Front Work Committee of the villages through the phone number saved in the mailbox.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Mien - Head of the Front Committee of Ha Tay 1 village said: "Placing suggestion boxes at village cultural houses allows people to give their opinions on the ethics, lifestyle and vanguard and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially the heads of Party committees and authorities; the relationship between Party committees, Party cell committees, cadres and party members with the people... Thereby, each person has the opportunity to reflect on themselves to improve themselves more and more".
Mr. Nguyen Di hopes that members of the model will further promote their sense of responsibility, so that the mailbox "Front listening to people's opinions" can operate effectively in the coming time.
At the same time, promptly and fully grasp information and recommendations from the people, promptly advise the Party Committee, the government, and the Front on how to solve problems that are close to the people. Thereby bringing legitimate and legal rights and interests to the people; increase the mobilization of active participation of branches and organizations so that the model is truly effective.
