USD price soars again

Today, November 10, 2023, the USD/VND exchange rate, the black market USD price, and the VCB USD price skyrocketed again. The world USD exchange rate approached 106 points.

The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 24,002 VND/USD, an increase of 0.017 VND compared to the same time yesterday.

Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,152 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,152 VND/USD.

The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,160 and a selling price of 24,530, maintaining an increase of 40 VND compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.

Gold price suddenly dropped sharply

Today, the price of 9999, SJC, 24K, PNJ, DOJI gold decreased by 250,000 VND/tael. The world gold price recovered.

At the time of survey at 5:30 a.m. on November 10, 2023, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 69.10 million VND/tael for buying and 70.10 million VND/tael for selling.

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 69.25 - 70.20 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 69.10 - 70.40 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Gasoline prices climb as demand increases

Today's gasoline and oil prices on November 10, 2023 on the world market continued to climb from the previous session. Oil prices rose due to signs of increased demand from China.

On November 9, gasoline prices rose after plummeting in the previous two sessions, reaching their lowest level in more than three months.

According to data from Oilprice, at 8:20 p.m. on November 9 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was trading at 80.29 USD/barrel, up 0.75 USD, equivalent to 0.94% compared to the previous session while WTI oil price was at 76.04 USD/barrel, up 0.71 USD, equivalent to 0.94%.

According to analysts, oil prices are rising due to signs of increased demand from China - the world's leading oil importer.

In addition, investor sentiment appeared to be stabilizing after two previous sessions of sharp sell-offs, which had a positive impact on the oil market. But the small increase still reflected investor caution amid a weakening global economic outlook.

In the domestic market, the retail prices of gasoline and oil today, November 10, are applied according to the price of the afternoon session on November 1. Gasoline prices were adjusted up while oil prices decreased. Specifically, the price of RON 95 gasoline increased to VND23,920/liter, while the retail price of E5 gasoline increased to VND22,610/liter. In contrast, the price of diesel oil decreased to VND21,940/liter while the retail price of kerosene decreased to VND22,300/liter.
