NDO - On October 25, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences (China) organized the international scientific conference "Ho Chi Minh - for a world of peace, friendship and development".
The event took place on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival in Guangzhou, China (November 11, 1924 - November 11, 2024). This is considered an important historical milestone in his revolutionary life because in Guangzhou, President Ho Chi Minh not only expanded his international vision but also met with revolutionary predecessors, creating an ideological foundation for the national liberation movement in Vietnam.
Thanks to this connection, President Ho Chi Minh's ideology has continuously spread and inspired many national liberation movements around the world, from Asia to Africa and Latin America.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu, Head of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said that the workshop created a forum for researchers to exchange ideas to continue clarifying, applying and creatively developing the values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the context of the contemporary world.

The conference received more than 90 presentations from scientists, experts and researchers at home and abroad, with content covering many different aspects such as: Ho Chi Minh - Symbol of the culture of peace; unique features in Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on peace, friendship and global development; Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic thoughts on peace and friendship among nations...
“These rich topics not only reflect the deep interest of academics but also once again affirm the contemporary value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in solving current global issues,” Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu stated.
