On the afternoon of July 18, the Provincial Steering Committee 35 held a conference to review the results of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views in the province in the first 6 months of the year, and deploying key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 35 and Comrade Nguyen Hong Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee chaired the conference.
In the first 6 months of 2024, the Provincial Steering Committee 35 actively and proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee to effectively implement the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the province. Notably, it has actively promoted propaganda and information on the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system; stepped up prevention and combat against degradation, bureaucracy, corruption, negativity, and waste. Focused on political theory work, training, education to protect the Party's ideological foundation, and strengthened political and ideological education, ethics and lifestyle among cadres and Party members.
The work of detecting, preventing, combating, refuting, and handling fake, untrue, bad, and toxic information has been implemented synchronously and effectively through many different forms. The work of grasping the situation of press information and public opinion has clearly changed, promptly reporting, proposing, and advising the Party Committee to resolve complex and sensitive issues that arise. Thereby, creating trust and consensus among the people towards the political system, contributing to the successful implementation of tasks on Party building, socio-economic development, and ensuring national defense and security.
Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 35, requested all levels, sectors and localities to closely follow the direction of the Central and the province to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile views on the fields and tasks assigned and in charge of each member of the Provincial Steering Committee 35.
In particular, attention should be paid to implementing solutions to improve the quality of Party cell activities and political and ideological activities; focusing on leading, directing, and effectively implementing the Central Regulations on cadres and party members establishing and using personal electronic information on the Internet and social networks.
Actively coordinate between functional sectors to advise Party committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen the work of protecting internal politics and state secrets. Carefully prepare for the pilot conference on combating, preventing and handling bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks. Sectors and units coordinate to prepare for 2 scientific seminars on protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Strengthen information work and promptly handle bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks.
He believes that with the sense of responsibility of Party committees and organizations at all levels, the capacity and intelligence of participating forces, the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints will achieve even better results, creating a solid foundation for successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress and the 16th Provincial Party Congress.
