On December 28, the Steering Committee of 35 provinces organized a drill to combat, prevent and handle bad and toxic information on the internet and social networks in 2024.

Attending the conference on the central side were comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department. Speaking at the opening of the drill, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for 35 provinces, emphasized that the drill objectively and accurately reflects professional skills and the level of handling situations in cyberspace; is the basis for continuing to foster and improve awareness, knowledge, skills, expertise, and methods of combating, preventing and handling bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks.

At the same time, specify the process of coordinating the handling of bad and toxic information, fighting against wrong and hostile views on cyberspace of the Steering Committee of 35 provinces; improve the capacity of directing, organizing activities, handling situations related to complicated and sensitive cases, public concerns, and new issues arising on the Internet and social networks.

He requested delegates and forces participating in the conference to build and operate the actual process when implementing activities to combat, prevent and handle bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks to ensure smoothness, synchronization and high efficiency. Conduct the drill seriously, in accordance with the script, ensuring closeness to reality, effectiveness, confidentiality and safety; uphold the sense of responsibility, properly perform the assigned duties and responsibilities. In 2025, based on the actual situation, propose to organize drills at some district-level Party Committees and equivalent to avoid being passive and surprised in any situation.
