Conference on promoting bank credit in Region 8

The State Bank of Vietnam held a conference with the theme of Promoting bank credit to contribute to economic growth. Comrade Tran Bao Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Comrade Pham Quang Dung, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Comrade Tran Van Ky, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of Nghe An and Quang Binh provinces; leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing key contents such as: Credit performance results nationwide and in the region 8 in the first months of 2025; difficulties, obstacles, and orientations for credit performance in the coming time; solutions to achieve credit growth targets, contributing to promoting economic growth.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Bao Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed about the outstanding results of Ha Tinh's socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2025 and affirmed that the banking sector has made important contributions to these common achievements.

Comrade Tran Bao Ha - Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference, emphasizing the role of the banking sector in local economic growth.

In the coming time, to further promote the role of the banking sector in promoting economic growth, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the State Bank of Region 8 to closely monitor the socio-economic situation and operations of banks to promptly advise local Party committees and authorities to implement appropriate credit policies, contributing to the socio-economic development of the provinces and regions.

Delegates from three provinces of region 8, along with representatives of the State Bank and related sectors attended the conference.

Promote credit growth according to the development orientation of each locality, focusing on production sectors, priority sectors, promoting preferential credit to support economic growth. At the same time, promote administrative procedure reform, create favorable conditions for people and businesses to access bank capital, limit bad debt. Closely coordinate with departments and branches to promote digital transformation, implement project 06. Strengthen inspection, examination and supervision of banking activities to ensure system safety.
