In 2024, People's Councils at all levels closely followed the leadership of Party committees, properly performed their functions and tasks according to legal regulations, programs and plans, ensuring quality and efficiency, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security. The Standing Committees of People's Councils at all levels actively improved and innovated management and operation work; improved supervision work; successfully organized People's Council sessions; maintained and effectively organized regular meetings and conferences of the Standing Committee of the People's Council. The quality of drafting and promulgating resolutions has been increasingly improved. The coordination between the Standing Committee and the People's Council Committees with the People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies was closely coordinated, promptly grasped the situation, and effectively resolved arising tasks. Activities of meeting voters, receiving citizens, handling and urging the settlement of complaints and denunciations of citizens were effectively directed and implemented. The People's Council Committees actively, proactively, and closely coordinated to improve the quality of reviewing draft resolutions. The delegations and People's Council delegates promoted a good sense of responsibility to fulfill their roles and tasks as elected representatives.

In 2025, People's Councils at all levels will continue to innovate and improve the efficiency of their operations. Focus on improving the quality of meetings at People's Council meetings; the development and promulgation of resolutions by People's Councils must ensure quality and efficiency, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and the arrangement of two-level administrative units. Improve the quality of supervision and survey activities between two People's Council meetings. Organize meetings of the Standing Committee of the People's Council in accordance with legal regulations, promptly resolve tasks within their competence; organize quality explanation and questioning sessions at meetings to resolve outstanding and pressing issues in state management. Innovate and improve the quality and efficiency of citizen reception, voter contact, and settlement of complaints and denunciations...
At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee disseminated and thoroughly grasped new regulations on: Organization and operation of the People's Council according to the Law on Organization of Local Government No. 65/2025/QH15; some new contents according to the draft amendments to the Law on Organization of Local Government; promulgation of legal documents of the People's Council and People's Committee according to the provisions of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents No. 64/2025/QH15; some new contents according to the draft Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies (Amended). The leaders of the Culture - Social Affairs Committee disseminated the main content of Joint Resolution No. 72/2025/NQLT/UBTVQH15-CP-DCTUBTWMTQVN dated February 20, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee - Government - Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front detailing the organization of meetings with voters of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the achievements of the People's Councils at all levels in 2024; requested the People's Councils at all levels to continue to closely follow the Party's viewpoints, guidelines, policies, the State's policies and laws, the goals, orientations and development plans of the locality; at the same time, promote a high sense of responsibility, self-reliance, proactive adaptation, flexibility, innovation, creativity, and determination to successfully complete assigned political tasks. Focus on improving the quality of People's Council meetings, especially the development and promulgation of People's Council resolutions to ensure compliance with legal regulations, high feasibility, meeting the tasks in the new situation, especially the work of arranging 2-level administrative units; regularly monitor and urge the implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council. Regarding supervision and survey between two sessions of the People's Council, it is important to note that the selected supervision topics ensure focus and key points, contributing to resolving existing problems and limitations in the implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, mechanisms, policies, legal regulations, and state management.
