The Provincial Emulation and Reward Council held its second regular meeting in 2024.

On the morning of October 21, the Emulation and Reward Council of Thanh Hoa province held its second regular meeting in 2024 to select collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements to propose the title of Labor Hero, Labor Medal; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; Emulation Flag of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee; recognition of exemplary agencies, units, communes, wards, and enterprises. Comrade Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the province chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Tien Lam, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial Economic and Cultural Council.

Comrade Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Economic and Social Council chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial Steering Committee for Labor and Economic Development approved the list of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements proposed to be awarded the title of Labor Hero, Labor Medal; Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; Emulation Flag from the Government and the Provincial People's Committee; recognition of exemplary agencies, units, communes, wards and enterprises.

Based on the list of proposed awards, delegates attending the meeting discussed and evaluated based on the criteria and regulations on considering merits and achievements; thereby unanimously proposing to award the Second Class Labor Medal to 3 groups including: Minh Khai Secondary School (Thanh Hoa City); Nhu Thanh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities; Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Xuong District.

Proposing to award the Third Class Labor Medal to 8 individuals and 2 groups. Of which 2 groups include: Hoang Trach Primary School (Hoang Hoa); Ben Sung Town Secondary School (Nhu Thanh).

Members of the Provincial Economic and Social Council also proposed to award Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 12 collectives and 52 individuals; award Emulation Flags from the Government to 6 collectives; Emulation Flags from the Provincial People's Committee to 10 collectives; and recognize 7 model communes and 4 wards.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy spoke at the meeting.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Economic and Cultural Council Do Minh Tuan basically agreed with the list of proposed awards; at the same time, gave specific opinions on a number of cases proposed for awards in this period.

The Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council emphasized: Proposing and rewarding accurately and promptly will positively impact patriotic emulation activities, creating motivation to strive to excellently complete the tasks of each organization and individual, creating a widespread influence in the community. Therefore, this task must be carried out in the spirit of objectivity, fairness, and worthy of the achievements of each collective and individual.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Economic and Social Council Do Minh Tuan assessed: In recent times, economic and social activities in the province have had many innovations and brought about practical results. In order to continue promoting the achieved results as well as avoid mistakes and shortcomings in the process of performing tasks, relevant units need to strictly implement the steps of the commendation proposal process right from the grassroots level.

In particular, emulation must be widespread, practical, effective, avoid formalities and be linked to the political tasks of each locality, agency and unit. Reward work must be carried out in accordance with regulations, impartially, objectively, transparently, and absolutely without negativity or self-interest.
