Trade promotion fair linking tourism and promoting local culture in Thach That district

On April 11, the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA) coordinated with the People's Committee of Thach That district to organize a trade promotion fair to promote local tourism and culture along with the event of the traditional opening ceremony of Tay Phuong Pagoda and the 10th anniversary of receiving the certificate of ranking as a special national monument (2014-2024); Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital - Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the district (1954-2024).

Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, spoke at the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Hanoi City, said: The fair has a scale of more than 100 booths of nearly 100 units and enterprises from more than 20 provinces and cities nationwide and traditional craft villages in Hanoi as well as Thach That district participating in displaying and introducing specialty products, processed agricultural products, consumer goods, household appliances... as well as promoting the image of local culture and history.

“ In addition to trade promotion activities, the Fair also organizes product demonstration spaces, traditional cultural activities such as water puppetry, art performances, and tourism promotion activities combined with brilliant flower colors to bring unforgettable experiences and impressions, ” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong.

Further information at the event, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach That District said: The district currently has over 2,000 enterprises with nearly 17,000 production and business households. It is a suburban district located in the West of Hanoi, 25 km from the center of the capital, with a natural land area of over 18,000 hectares. With a favorable location for transportation, there is great potential for economic development, especially craft village economy and industry, small-scale industry.

Implementing the program “One Commune One Product”, the whole district has now had 162 OCOP products. In recent years, the products of craft villages of Thach That district have been widely introduced at tourism festivals, fairs, and craft villages in Hanoi and are known to domestic and international tourists. With the above advantages, Thach That has effectively developed local tourism and is known and highly appreciated by many tourists. Every year, these tourist areas and ecological areas welcome many domestic and foreign visitors to visit and relax.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, along with representatives of HPA leaders, departments, Thach That district, and delegates visited the booths.

At the fair, HPA and Thach That district organized a fair to introduce OCOP products with nearly 200 booths of craft village products from communes in the district and regions in the country...

“ This is an opportunity for businesses, production and trading households to meet, exchange economic information, promote trade, develop production, introduce products of traditional craft villages in the country, the city and the district to consumers, as well as promote trade and tourism activities, serving the shopping, entertainment and festival needs of people and visitors to Thach That district, ” said Mr. Nguyen Manh Hong.
