Hoi An files to honor Tra Que Vegetable Village as the world's best tourist village in 2024

The award is a global initiative by UNWTO to recognise villages where tourism preserves and promotes rural and community-based values, products and lifestyles, while promoting innovation and sustainability. It also recognises the contribution of villages to the Sustainable Development Goals through tourism.

Tra Que is an agricultural production village associated with community tourism, once recognized as a favorite tourist destination in Vietnam. Tra Que vegetable growing has also been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

With agricultural, ecological and cultural tourism, visitors to Tra Que, in addition to learning about the culture and history of the village, can also experience the life of "A day as a Tra Que farmer" with the traditional vegetable growing process, learn to cook, enjoy dishes and drinks from many types of vegetables, tubers, fruits and seeds grown by the villagers according to organic and safe processes or work on agriculture with the people in the lush green gardens and stay in beautiful, airy and peaceful accommodations...
