To continue affirming itself as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination for tourists, ports in the province have simultaneously implemented solutions and organized safe reception of guests.

Tuan Chau International Tourist Port has resumed operations to welcome tourists. During the 3 days of opening (from September 13 to 16), the port welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors.
Perhaps, of the nearly 24,000 billion VND in damage that Quang Ninh estimated as of September 14 when reporting to the Government, accounting for more than half of the total damage nationwide caused by storm No. 3, the most serious damage was still to marine economic activities. Storm No. 3 caused severe damage to more than 2,600 aquaculture facilities; 165 ships and watercraft sank, including 27 tourist ships. The province's sea tourism gateway ports such as Tuan Chau, Ha Long, and Ao Tien all suffered significant losses from facilities to port infrastructure, seriously affecting the activities of picking up and dropping off passengers, transportation to the islands, and visiting Ha Long Bay.
Mr. Dang Tuan Ha, Director of Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, said: Although proactive measures have been taken, with its strong intensity over a long period of time, the storm has severely affected the infrastructure and facilities at the port. Identifying the role of the gateway to Ha Long Bay, an important driving force for the early recovery of tourism after the storm, the staff of the port have temporarily put aside their busy work at home to prioritize the recovery of operations at the port. 100% of the staff were present as soon as storm No. 3 passed to conduct temporary cleaning and repairs; carry out support and rescue work; work with fleets and travel agencies to immediately deploy activities to welcome tourists with a commitment to ensuring the best conditions. During the 3 days of reopening (from September 13 to 16), Tuan Chau International Passenger Port welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors.

Officers and staff of Ha Long International Passenger Port clean up the environment, check and review all infrastructure to welcome guests from September 13.
Ha Long International Passenger Port has also inspected and reviewed all infrastructure after the storm, from which it has assessed safety work and started welcoming tourists from September 13. After 3 days, the port has had more than 7,000 tourists passing through the port to visit Ha Long Bay. Service and tourism activities have basically been completely restored as before the storm.
At Ao Tien Port (Van Don), to meet the needs of transporting goods, food, and travel of people and tourists to the islands, right after the storm, the port contacted large ships with high wave-proofing capabilities to participate in transportation activities. Although the number of tourists to the islands at this time is not much, people's travel activities have been very convenient, shipments of necessities and essential supplies to recover from the storm have left the port one after another to Co To, Minh Chau, Quan Lan... These are the "head of the waves and wind" areas, where the first storm hit with a lot of damage. Currently, the post-storm recovery work continues, but the tourist reception activities at the port have returned to normal with the best and safest reception conditions.

Ao Tien Port (Van Don) arranged large ships with high wave-crossing capacity to participate in transporting people and goods from September 9.
To grasp the situation, encourage and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people and businesses in tourism activities, expressing the province's concerns and worries about this key economic sector, immediately after the storm, the Provincial People's Committee directly met and had many solutions to direct and support businesses to recover after the storm. In the context of the telecommunications network being broken, causing difficulties in the direction, the provincial leaders were present at most of the hot spots to support people and businesses to recover after the storm; directed campaigns to clean the city, clean the bay...
Beautiful, humane images, practical actions and timely, effective motivational solutions combined with the spirit of “Discipline and unity”, the will to be self-reliant, resilient to overcome difficulties… the entire provincial government system, businesses and people have taken advantage of every hour, even every minute to restore production and business activities as soon as possible. This is an effective solution to compensate for the damage caused by the storm, ensuring the sustainability of economic sectors, including the tourism industry.
